[name_u]Evelyn[/name_u]: lovely, classy name. I like it, though the -lyn ending ruins it a little bit for me. I much prefer [name_f]Eve[/name_f] or [name_f]Eva[/name_f], or even [name_f]Evelina[/name_f].
[name_f]Audrey[/name_f]: again, it’s a very classy and elegant name. Not my personal favourite (I’m just not crazy about the sound), but it of course brings to mind the wonderful Ms Hepburn, which is a great association.
[name_f]Persephone[/name_f]: I [name_u]LOVE[/name_u] [name_f]Persephone[/name_f], and I don’t think it’s too out there at all. I like it so much that I’d consider using it myself. I think it’s daring, spunky and beautiful, but at the same time a very recognisable choice.
[name_f]Matilda[/name_f]: obviously, I love this one too! We chose it for our daughter’s middle name partly because we just loved the quirky, clunky, bright sound of it, and partly to honour the [name_m]Roald[/name_m] Dahl character, who I think is a great namesake for a little girl.
[name_u]Avery[/name_u], [name_u]Aubrey[/name_u]: not a fan of these ones at all. They just feel modern, trendy and a little bit “meh” to me. I’d choose [name_f]Audrey[/name_f] over either of these.
[name_f]Lorelei[/name_f]: beautiful name - I like the mysterious sound of it.
[name_f]Ellen[/name_f]/[name_f]Elin[/name_f]: not a fan of [name_f]Elin[/name_f], but [name_f]Ellen[/name_f] is a gorgeous name, and very underused! I love that it’s feminine but frills-free.
[name_f]Marcella[/name_f]: not sure how I feel about this one… I can see the appeal, but it sounds a little bit middle-aged to me, for some reason. It’s OK.
[name_f]Cecily[/name_f]: i like [name_f]Cecily[/name_f] a lot - more than [name_f]Cecilia[/name_f], though not as much as the gorgeous, criminally underused [name_f]Cicely[/name_f]. I don’t think the meaning is a problem at all.
[name_u]Elias[/name_u]: I really like names that end in -ias, so naturally I like this one a lot. It feels like the sort of name that has potential to get really, really popular though - not sure how much that bothers you?
[name_u]Max[/name_u]: I love [name_u]Max[/name_u] (DH’s name/nickname) - it’s simple, strong and international. But [name_m]Maximus[/name_m] is great! If I were you, I’d stick with [name_m]Maximus[/name_m] and use [name_u]Max[/name_u] as the nickname - gives you the best of both worlds!
[name_u]Evan[/name_u]: I like [name_u]Evan[/name_u]. It doesn’t jump out at me as anything special, but it’s a good, solid, not too popular choice.
[name_m]Sebastian[/name_m]: nope, not too pretentious! I know a couple of little Sebastians, as well as a few adult ones, and I really like it. It feels strong yet sensitive.
[name_m]Wyatt[/name_m]: hate this one, sorry. I just see it as another trendy surname name.
[name_u]Micah[/name_u]: really lovely name - soft, sweet yet strong.
[name_m]Lincoln[/name_m]: not crazy about this, though I do love potential nn [name_m]Link[/name_m]!
[name_m]Abel[/name_m]: it’s OK. Again, it doesn’t strike me as anything special - just another pleasant, solid Biblical name.
[name_u]Kai[/name_u]: I don’t like this one either, even though I know a lot of people really love it. It feels, again, quite trendy and insubstantial to me - a “surfer dude” name.
[name_m]Wesley[/name_m]: sorry, but I really dislike this too. No particular reason besides the sound, which just doesn’t appeal to me at all. I know it’s a popular one on here, but it’s not for me.
