Thoughts of Everly

What are your thoughts on [name_u]Everly[/name_u]? [name_f]Do[/name_f] you prefer the [name_u]Everly[/name_u] or [name_f]Everleigh[/name_f] spelling?

It’s a guilty pleasure of mine. Really cute just too trendy for me to use myself. Definitely only [name_u]Everly[/name_u] though, I don’t like [name_f]Everleigh[/name_f] at all

I used to prefer [name_f]Everleigh[/name_f], but honestly that just complicates things. Really like [name_u]Everly[/name_u], but [name_f]Eva[/name_f] is one of my top names so I’ll probably never use it. I love to see it on someone else’s kid!

Honestly, I’m neutral about [name_u]Everly[/name_u]. Nothing about the name is strikingly beautiful to me or blatantly ugly. It sounds very cutesy. [name_u]Everly[/name_u] also does seem very trendy to me, following the -ley ending trend and girl names starting with “e” trend. That being said, it fits well with other names popular names parents are using today, without being too common. I prefer the [name_u]Everly[/name_u] spell, I feel [name_f]Everleigh[/name_f] just makes the name longer than it needs to be.

I agree with other posters that it sounds trendy, but I like it better than most trendy lee/ly/leigh names. It feels more grounded though still a touch whimsical. Definitely prefer the [name_u]Everly[/name_u] spelling!

I have a massive soft spot for [name_u]Everly[/name_u]/[name_f]Everleigh[/name_f], I love how she combines modern and with trendy with timeless and classic. For a real human being I’d go for [name_u]Everly[/name_u], makes life just a little easier but the [name_f]Everleigh[/name_f] spelling is super pretty, makes me think of walking in a forest, sun streaming through the branches.

I think [name_u]Everly[/name_u]'s super cool because it has so many nicknames or ways you could vary it, [name_f]Eve[/name_f] in a formal situation where she might need a classic name, [name_f]Evie[/name_f] for a cute nickname that could be used by friends, [name_u]Lee[/name_u] is even gender neutral so if she identifies as something other than female and wants a name, [name_u]Lee[/name_u] covers all bases and is still something he/she/they is used to.

I really adore [name_u]Everly[/name_u]! I have been fearing for YEARS that she would skyrocket, and she’s starting to, now being number 82 in the US. I would totally use her as a middle if I could find the right first name, though! I adore [name_f]Thea[/name_f] [name_u]Everly[/name_u], but don’t know that I love [name_f]Thea[/name_f] enough to use her up front.

[name_u]Everly[/name_u] fits in with my style but it’s never been top of the list. I don’t mind when it comes to [name_u]Everly[/name_u] vs [name_f]Everleigh[/name_f] but I don’t like Everlee.

My fear is that [name_u]Everly[/name_u] will be to the 2010s what [name_f]Brittany[/name_f] was to the 1990s–a name that doesn’t age well and completely pegs someone to a certain era.

I really like it

I prefer the [name_u]Everly[/name_u] spelling

I like it a lot but I wouldn’t use it because I find it trendy and it would be dated in a few years…

It will but I don’t think it necessarily is a bad thing it is still a lovely name. Plus the top names are being used less and less

I definitely think it’s very trendy, but it’s also quite sweet–and reminds me of [name_u]Evelyn[/name_u], which is an older name (that’s now super popular). I like [name_u]Everly[/name_u] better, though it’s not a favorite of mine.

I think it is a cute, modern name but as someone who watches US upcoming trends closely, this is one of the trendiest upcoming names. It has wide mass appeal–people love it–which could be a blessing or both a blessing and a curse if you want to avoid a trendy name. (Nothing wrong with a trendy name imo just something to be aware of for people who view that negatively)

I like [name_u]Everly[/name_u]! Used to be on my list! I would use [name_f]Eve[/name_f]/[name_f]Evie[/name_f] as a nn

Tbh while I can see the appeal of [name_u]Everly[/name_u] in look and sound it ultimately feels almost too cutesy and “flimsy” for me to really like it… it doesn’t have much history of use and it’s gotten so popular out of nowhere it’ll likely feel very tied to the 2010s in a few decades… I definitely prefer the [name_u]Everly[/name_u] spelling over [name_f]Everleigh[/name_f] however, I like the streamlined look.
