What do you think of [name_f]Abrielle[/name_f]?
My first thought is “how do you pronounce that?”
I like it, I would probably spell it [name_f]Aubrielle[/name_f] if that’s the pronunciation you’re going for. It might be perceived as [name_f]Gabrielle[/name_f] with a missing g
I much prefer [name_f]Arabella[/name_f], [name_f]Abigail[/name_f], [name_f]Gabrielle[/name_f] or [name_f]Gabriella[/name_f], but I do tend to like traditional style names.
It sounds made up.
I think [name_f]Aubrielle[/name_f] would be a better choice because it clarifies the pronunciation and looks a bit more legit to me. [name_f]Brielle[/name_f] on its own is lovely too.
My first thought was about the pronunciation. Is it [name_m]Abe[/name_m]-rielle (like [name_m]Abraham[/name_m]) or [name_m]Ab[/name_m]-rielle (like [name_f]Abigail[/name_f])? Overall I’m not a fan and I agree with some other posters that it looks made up.
I assumed the [name_m]Ab[/name_m]- sounds like Aub- in [name_u]Aubrey[/name_u]. Not my style but I think it sounds really lovely. I like the suggestion of [name_f]Aubrielle[/name_f] for clarification.
I don’t particularly like it, I prefer [name_f]Brielle[/name_f] or [name_u]Aubrey[/name_u].
I would instantly pronounce it as [name_m]Abb[/name_m]-ree-el, but it appears that a lot of people think of it as Aww-bree-el. If you’re thinking of it w/the [name_m]Abb[/name_m]-sound to start, maybe spelling it as Abbrielle might help make that pronunciation clear. It reminds me of a name from [name_m]Garth[/name_m] [name_f]Nix[/name_f]'s The Abhorsen Trilogy, Sabriel, who is a fantastic character.
I prefer [name_f]Gabrielle[/name_f], [name_f]Brielle[/name_f], or [name_f]Briella[/name_f]. [name_f]Abrielle[/name_f] presents a pronunciatuion issue, and looks like a cut off version of [name_f]Gabrielle[/name_f]. I like PP suggestion of [name_f]Aubrielle[/name_f], however!
My niece’s name is [name_f]Aubriella[/name_f]
