Thoughts on Ada

What are some of your favorite names that start with “[name_f]Ada[/name_f]” or have it for an obvious nickname?

[name_f]Do[/name_f] you prefer it as a stand-alone name?

Also, how would you say it? Ay-dah or [name_m]Add[/name_m]-ah?

[name_f]Adalaide[/name_f]
[name_f]Adaline[/name_f]
Or spelt [name_f]Adelaide[/name_f]/[name_f]Adeline[/name_f] works both ways.

I think I prefer it as a stand alone name [name_f]Ada[/name_f] it’s very short and sweet. I’ve only ever met one [name_f]Ada[/name_f] so far or most people use he alternative [name_f]Ava[/name_f].
For me it’s pronouced Ay-dah and to be honest I prefer the spelling Ayda.

I like the simplicity, and elegance of [name_f]Ada[/name_f], and the fact it still has substance despite being shorter. I say and prefer it as Ay-duh. I like a lot of [name_m]Ad[/name_m]- names, like [name_f]Adelaide[/name_f], Adelise, and [name_f]Adelind[/name_f], but [name_f]Adelaide[/name_f] is the only one I like on par with [name_f]Ada[/name_f].

[name_f]Adelaide[/name_f] nicknamed [name_f]Daisy[/name_f] or [name_f]Ada[/name_f] was a shortlist name for us and I still like it very much! I also like the historical role model of [name_f]Ada[/name_f] Lovelace. I pronounce it “Ay-duh”.

[name_f]Ada[/name_f] is sweet and soft, and I pronounce it ay-duh. Of the longer forms my favorite is [name_f]Adelaide[/name_f]!

I love [name_f]Ada[/name_f]. It’s great as a standalone. I pronounce it Ay-dah.

I also like [name_f]Adeline[/name_f] and [name_f]Adalie[/name_f] to get to it as a nn.
