Hey ladies! I love the name [name_f]Anastasia[/name_f], but I’m not sure about it! What do ya’ll think?? I know my sister watches a lot of Keeping Up With The Kardashians , and she mentioned to me [name_f]Kylie[/name_f] Jenner has a friend named [name_f]Anastasia[/name_f] but everyone calls her [name_m]Stas[/name_m]! I love that! I don’t know if [name_f]Anastasia[/name_f] has anymore NN’s though.
I love [name_f]Anastasia[/name_f]. It is elegant and very princess-y [name_f]IMO[/name_f]. It is FULL of nicknames. My personal favorite nickname for it is [name_f]Asia[/name_f].
nns:
[name_m]Stas[/name_m]
[name_f]Asia[/name_f]

[name_f]Ana[/name_f]
[name_f]Ann[/name_f]
[name_f]Tasia[/name_f]

Makes me think of the Russian Grand Duchess [name_f]Anastasia[/name_f] Nikolaevna and her tragic fate. To me, it’s a very majestic name. It CAN be very cutesy, but I that isn’t my initial image of it, probably because of aforementioned [name_f]Anastasia[/name_f] (who wasn’t cutesy at all). An [name_f]Anastasia[/name_f] is strong and independent, not afraid to go against the norms. She’s reliable and fun, makes you feel at ease and she’s very creative.
[name_f]Anastasia[/name_f] is one of those names that has endless possibilities for nicknames (mainly because it’s so long):
[name_f]Anastasie[/name_f]
[name_f]Anna[/name_f]
[name_f]Anya[/name_f]
Nastas
Nastenka
[name_f]Nastya[/name_f]
[name_f]Tasha[/name_f]
[name_f]Tata[/name_f]
I love [name_f]Anastasia[/name_f]!
I know an [name_f]Anastasia[/name_f] that goes by [name_f]Stasia[/name_f]/[name_m]Stas[/name_m].
[name_f]Ana[/name_f] is also a lovely nn.
[name_f]Asia[/name_f] is nice too.
I knew a girl in high school named [name_f]Anastasia[/name_f], her family was Greek. She sometimes went by [name_f]Tasia[/name_f] (pronounced [name_f]Tasha[/name_f]). I’m guessing [name_u]Stacey[/name_u]/[name_f]Staci[/name_f] would be another likely nn. It’s lovely as a full name.
I love the name [name_f]Anastasia[/name_f]. I know two: one goes by [name_f]Ana[/name_f], the other by [name_f]Star[/name_f] (she is European, and her name is pronounced [name_f]Ana[/name_f]-[name_f]STAR[/name_f]-zee-uh). If I chose it I think I would choose the nn [name_f]Anya[/name_f]. Best of luck!
[name_f]Anastasia[/name_f] is one of my favorites. I know a girl named [name_f]Anastasia[/name_f]; she goes to my church. We call her [name_f]Annie[/name_f] :).
I heard somewhere on here that someone liked the nickname [name_f]Sissy[/name_f], which I though was creative and cute. I love [name_f]Anastasia[/name_f] too, but it is my cousin’s name (who is my god mother) and her mother’s name. So my mom would be upset if I used it and not named my kid after her. So it is off my list. But I love it nonetheless. I knew one in middle school that went by [name_f]Stacia[/name_f] ([name_f]Stace[/name_f]-ee-uh). Though I also like [name_f]Anna[/name_f] for a nn. It comes with so many options.
[name_f]Anastasia[/name_f] is one of my favorites too-- I love the meaning (resurrection) as well as the elegant way it sounds. My first memory of it was the [name_f]Betsy[/name_f] [name_f]Tacy[/name_f] books by [name_f]Maud[/name_f] [name_m]Hart[/name_m] Lovelace-- [name_f]Tacy[/name_f]'s formal name is [name_f]Anastacia[/name_f]. My best friend has a daughter named [name_f]Anastasia[/name_f] and her nn is [name_f]Ana[/name_f].
[name_m]Stas[/name_m] is an Eastern European nickname for [name_m]Stanislav[/name_m]. It’s not feminine at all.
[name_f]Anastasia[/name_f] with the nickname [name_f]Stasia[/name_f] is gorgeous.
[name_f]Anastasia[/name_f] is nice, too frilly for me though. I do love the nickname [name_f]Anya[/name_f].
