Thoughts on Annabel? Is it too frilly?
[name_f]Annabel[/name_f] is charming and elegant - I like it and this spelling is sleeker and sharper. [name_f]Anna[/name_f] feels like a solid option if she doesnât want anything to âgirlyâ but there are so many Isabelles, Belles and Annies around that I donât think [name_f]Annabel[/name_f] would sound frilly or unprofessional
Thank you so much! I failed to consider the similarity to other popular girls names, so it could blend in
I genuinely had to go and check the popularity stats because [name_f]Annabel[/name_f] feels like a completely normal, safe, popular girls name to me but itâs actually wayyy down the charts! How funny. I guess there were quite a few at my school and I also used to babysit an [name_f]Annabel[/name_f] (with sibs Elizab3th and B3n). Her parents called her Bells which I thought was sweet.
I donât think itâs too frilly. Itâs very Scottish. Nice
I love Annabel! It doesnât feel at all frilly to me, just a solid, feminine classic.
[name_f]Annabel[/name_f] is lovely! Itâs a little bit frilly but not too much.
I donât classify [name_f]Annabel[/name_f] as frilly, but honestly I think itâs because of association. I like the versatility of [name_f]Annabel[/name_f] and the nickname potential [name_f]Anna[/name_f] / [name_f]Annie[/name_f] / Bell/ [name_f]Bella[/name_f]
Iâm obsessed with [name_f]Annie[/name_f] so Iâm a fan of pretty much all of the long forms for it. [name_f]Annabel[/name_f] is very pretty and sweet although I slightly prefer the [name_f]Annabelle[/name_f] spelling. Its definitely one of the frillier [name_u]Anne[/name_u] names but I donât think itâs too much to use and the [name_f]Annabel[/name_f] spelling does make it feel a bit less frilly.
[name_f]Annabel[/name_f] is so beautiful
I think itâs very streamlined and sturdy. [name_f]Annabelle[/name_f] is a bit frilly, [name_f]Annabella[/name_f] is very frilly, but [name_f]Annabel[/name_f] isnât.
I love the name! Feels classic, though Iâve never met anyone with the name (spelled like thatâI know only one with the double L double E).
I donât think itâs frilly. [name_f]Anna[/name_f] is very classic and international, and [name_f]Belle[/name_f] is very old fashioned I personally think [name_f]Annabelle[/name_f] looks prettier, but more âfrillyâ than [name_f]Annabel[/name_f].
