Middle name is to honour her great grandma. [name_m]Just[/name_m] wondering what it sounds like, if it flows and not too stuffy or old a name. She would go by [name_f]Annie[/name_f] but we would give her the more formal name for her birth certificate. Appreciate hearing your opinions, thanks!

[name_f]Annette[/name_f] is severely dated, a baby boomer name from 70 year old fathers generation. [name_u]Anne[/name_u] is a true classic, I would go with that or [name_f]Antoinette[/name_f] which seems fresher. I know an [name_f]Antoinette[/name_f] in her 20s that goes by [name_f]Ann[/name_f] and when people find out her full name the say “awesome”!

I really like [name_f]Annette[/name_f] and would love to see it more often. I do prefer the nn [name_f]Netta[/name_f] or [name_f]Nettie[/name_f] to [name_f]Annie[/name_f].
[name_u]Love[/name_u] [name_f]Annie[/name_f]! [name_f]Annette[/name_f] is unique yet familiar. Prefer it over the more popular [name_f]Annabel[/name_f]. I have an [name_f]Anna[/name_f] nn [name_f]Annie[/name_f] and I just love her name! (We have a long last name, otherwise would have considered a longer name like Annette). Good luck!
Thanks everyone who replied so far with opinions. Really helpful to hear your honest thoughts and how it sounds. Although I’m not a huge fan of either name, they both happen to be loaded with meaning for us so maybe meaning is our priority for naming this time. I am a fan of using nn [name_f]Annie[/name_f] so that will be sweet if we go with this combo
