Thoughts on Anton?

I’ve recently come around to really liking Anton/finding it an intriguing option. What are your thoughts? What vibes does it give you?

it makes me think of [name_m]Anton[/name_m] du Beke from Strictly Come Dancing (a [name_f]British[/name_f] dancing show) :dancer:

[name_m]Anton[/name_m] gives me [name_u]French[/name_u] vibes (even though the [name_u]French[/name_u] variant is [name_u]Antoine[/name_u] :woman_shrugging:t2: ) I really like its international appeal.

I really like it! It’s polished yet approachable, and I enjoy the international appeal as well. It feels especially European to me for unknown reasons (I’ve never met one!)

I like this name a lot. It is simple and boy of the near door, reminds me of earth and plants and also red and green. Very familiar and approachable, reminds me of all the things of a small town, but It is cool :coffee:

I like [name_m]Anton[/name_m]! I think it’s quick and sharp. He’s my preferred Anthony-adjacent selection. One of the handful of names I’ve always had an inexplicable liking for… I just think this is a nice name!

I also think of the friendly ant of Ant [name_u]Man[/name_u] “fame.” He is a very niche and incredibly lovely little référer in my mind. :ant:

I really like it! I think it gives the classic [name_m]Anthony[/name_m] some edge, and I like the pan-European feel (the [name_m]Anton[/name_m] I know is from Ukraine!).

[name_m]Anton[/name_m] is a great name! Very international & sophisticated. Reminds me of classic actor [name_m]Anton[/name_m] Walbrook.

I have a strong personal association with it, so it’s a bit hard to be neutral, but I think it sounds nice. I think [name_m]Anthony[/name_m] sounds more handsome :relieved:
