[name_f]Do[/name_f] you like it? I like it better than Ares…
My Husband would name kiddo “[name_m]Frank[/name_m] Castle” if he could…but I don’t like it at all…

I like [name_m]Apollo[/name_m]. I like Ares too. I like [name_m]Apollo[/name_m] a bit better though. I think [name_m]Apollo[/name_m] is fresh and cool and usable for a myth name. Then again, I am Greek and know people named [name_m]Apollo[/name_m], so I guess it depends. I don’t know if a lot of people associated it with [name_m]Apollo[/name_m] Ohno, but that’s one of the things I think of. I think you’d have to be daring to use it, but it wouldn’t too out there.
I love [name_m]Apollo[/name_m]. It’s so sweeping and strong, and it’s quite usable as far as mythology names go. It’s a bit more daring than other choices, but still accessible, and might make a great middle paired with a more traditional first (think [name_m]Benjamin[/name_m] [name_m]Apollo[/name_m] or [name_m]Joseph[/name_m] [name_m]Apollo[/name_m]).
[name_m]Don[/name_m]'t name your kid [name_m]Frank[/name_m] Castle. That’s the Punisher’s name. I’d be willing to see a little [name_u]Wade[/name_u] [name_m]Wilson[/name_m] before a little [name_m]Frank[/name_m] Castle. Deadpool at least has a sense of humor.
lol at [name_f]Hermione[/name_f] up there. I agree about Deadpool
Anyway, I love [name_m]Apollo[/name_m]. He’s my husbands god and that makes me like the name a lot more than I usually would. I like it better than Ares and think it’s more usable. Ares a violent god, murder and bloodshed and war and all. [name_m]Apollo[/name_m] has plague, but he also has light, music, poetry and fortune telling so it balances it out.
I think [name_m]Apolo[/name_m] [name_f]Ono[/name_f] makes it more usable to the average person. It’s not too much with names like [name_m]Milo[/name_m], [name_m]Hugo[/name_m] and other sound a like names that are popular.
Since I saw [name_m]Apollo[/name_m] Ohno on dancing with the stars, I fell in love with that name. But just a few months ago one of my friends named their pitbull [name_m]Apollo[/name_m], and it really upset me.
I think it’s quite useable and very handsome. It sounds similar to several names that are gaining in popularity (the ubiquitous boys names ending in o and softer sounding boys names), it has the recognizable “celebrity” connection with Ohno that makes it more familiar, and it’s a mythological name that, at least to the casual observer, isn’t associated with anything too bad.
[name_m]Apollo[/name_m] is very macho, and kids could call him Appalling. But you know, kids can say anything to anyone, even if the name is [name_m]Tim[/name_m].
