Hey guys, back again. I’m very slowly but surely narrowing down my list and I think within a week or so I’ll have my final 10.
One of the names that has made it so far is [name_u]Ariel[/name_u] and I’m seriously starting to maybe consider it.
I just don’t know if it’s a good idea considering I do have bright red hair and I don’t see me changing it anytime soon so I think if I ever introduced myself people would automatically compare me to the Disney [name_u]Ariel[/name_u]. Honestly though, I really don’t think it would bother me that much. I just worry that it would be too… cheesy? I guess?
I personally love the name [name_u]Ariel[/name_u], and actually know a girl with strawberry blonde hair with that name. I think it’s pretty!! I don’t see it as cheesy.
[name_u]Ariel[/name_u]'s a great name! It has a very pretty and gentle sound, and [name_u]Ari[/name_u] is a cute nickname.
If I met an [name_u]Ariel[/name_u] with red hair I might maybe mention the little mermaid if we were talking about Disney movies for some reason, but other than that I’d just assume it was a coincidence. It’s not like [name_u]Ariel[/name_u]/[name_f]Arielle[/name_f] are completely unheard of and only appearing in the film, I’m pretty sure both are in the US top 500, so it’s not weird.
I really like it, but prefer the [name_f]Arielle[/name_f] spelling. I know an adult woman named [name_u]Ariel[/name_u] and it’s not weird or cheesy at all. I personally don’t care about the Disney connection.
