I love the name Artem. I actually prefer the Russian spelling, Artyom (I used to have a classmate named Artyom, and I just loved his name.) I think that the Artem spelling is less likely to be mispronounced, though.
What do you think of the name? Any middle name suggestions? Nickname suggestions?
I currently have Artem [name_u]Sage[/name_u], and I have thought about the nickname [name_m]Art[/name_m], but I’m not sure about either yet.

I really like the sound of Artem [name_u]Sage[/name_u], probably because [name_m]Artemus[/name_m] is one of my favourite names, and I think [name_u]Sage[/name_u] works really well as a middle. If I had to I’d use [name_m]Archie[/name_m] as a nickname for [name_m]Artemus[/name_m], and Artem too (I don’t like [name_m]Art[/name_m] or [name_m]Artie[/name_m]), but I know that’s too much of a stretch for many.
As a person with Russian roots, I’ve met lots of people called Artyom (”ртём). In Russian, there is a ё letter which is pronounced like “yo”. Of course, in English there isn’t a letter for “yo” so it is spelled Artyom, pronounced AR-tyom. If you want to use the Russian version, you should use that spelling - otherwise you’re using the Ukrainian version Artem (”ртем), pronounced AR-tem. Maybe Artiom could be a version easier to spell and with the same Russian sound. Or you could use another Russian form of Artyom - Artemy (”ртемий), pronounced ar-TE-mee. Also usually the short versian of Artyom or Artem is Artya but in the English-speaking world [name_m]Art[/name_m] could do as well.
