What do you think of [name_u]Avery[/name_u] on a boy? I quite like it but have only ever heard it on girls. I would love to hear other people’s thoughts!

Love it! It is more popular for girls, but it’s actually still fairly popular for boys too.

I like it and much prefer it for a boy! On the charts, it is more popular for girls, but I personally have known only one girl [name_u]Avery[/name_u] and one boy [name_u]Avery[/name_u], so it doesn’t really lean either way for me – i.e. it is truly unisex and definitely usable for a boy.

I just know so many girl Averys and some in our family. I liked it on a girl when I first heard it on one (a coworker). But now I’m a bit burned out by it on girls and would love to see more boys with it.
Avery doesn’t feel feminine at all. Its very unisex to me. On girls I find it more rebellious cool than pretty. On boys I find it very dashing actually.

I go between loving [name_u]Avery[/name_u] and disliking it, but either way I think it’s totally usable for a boy. I’ve only met girls names [name_u]Avery[/name_u], but it feels 100% unisex to me.

Love it, love it, love it! [name_u]Avery[/name_u] has really special ties to me to a old-timey radio drama I grew up listening to (ha, still do, and I’m not ashamed, hahaha), and it’s a family name too. [name_u]Avery[/name_u]’s in my top 5, and if I ever have a little boy, [name_u]Avery[/name_u] would definitely be a contender. For a while there, it was my favorite boys’ name, but I think he’s been replaced by [name_u]Rowan[/name_u]. I still have a big spot in my heart reserved for [name_u]Avery[/name_u], though!
