Yes, I totally stole this name from [name_f]Amy[/name_f] [name_m]Adams[/name_m]'s kid haha.
I really like the name, but I don’t know which way to pronounce it best. The way I first read it was “ay-vee-ah-nuh” but it is supposed to be said “ah-vee-ah-nuh”. I feel like the majority of people will read it as “ay” instead of “ah” but maybe I’m wrong. “Ay” is currently the pronunciation I like better, but I dunno. Thoughts? What pronunciation do you think is more common?
I also worry that people would misread it as [name_f]Ariana[/name_f], or that people would just plain hate the name lol. [name_f]Do[/name_f] you think it’s a decent name for a human being, or is it too out-there?
[name_f]Aviana[/name_f]'s a guilty pleasure of mine, I think it’s absolutely adorable.
I would pronounce it as Ay-vee-ah-na, like the beginning of [name_f]Ava[/name_f]. Because [name_f]Aviana[/name_f]'s a bit of an invented name, I don’t think there’s really a right or wrong way to say it?
I would go for it, it’s distinct enough to be different from the ever popular [name_f]Ava[/name_f] and [name_f]Ariana[/name_f], but familiar enough that it wouldn’t stick out in a classroom.
I 100% have always pronounced it [name_m]Ah[/name_m]-vee-ah-na in my head. Ay-vee-ah-na honestly never occurred to me at all until you said it here. [name_u]Avi[/name_u] would indicate an [name_m]Ah[/name_m]-vee pronunciation to me, not Ay-vee. I greatly prefer [name_m]Ah[/name_m] to Ay.
I rather like [name_f]Aviana[/name_f] but prefer the similar-ish name [name_f]Aviva[/name_f].
I’m really not fond of it. To me it sounds like another trendy overused A name (e.j. [name_f]Ava[/name_f], [name_f]Aria[/name_f], [name_f]Adelyn[/name_f], [name_u]Avery[/name_u], [name_f]Aurelia[/name_f], etc) Whenever I come across people with these names I always internally roll my eyes. Reminds me of a game me and a coworker used to play - whenever we had a customer with a super trendy name like that we would write it down and whoever had the most had to buy a snack for the other person at the end of the day.
But an opinion is just an opinion, what matters is if you like it.
I quite like it, it’s dramatic but still friendly and sweet, but for some reason I just don’t love it or any names with what seems like tacked on elements: Avelina, [name_f]Amalina[/name_f], [name_f]Eviana[/name_f] etc. It’s not super reasonable as I love [name_f]Rosanna[/name_f] and a few other smooshes. Might be the E / A trend mentioned above. Not sure! Anyway, definitely think it’s usable and that [name_f]Ariana[/name_f] confusion unlikely and no more than all names get mistaken from time to time.
