Thoughts on Avonlea Mae for a baby girl? Due in 2 1/2 weeks!

What do you think of Avonlea [name_f]Mae[/name_f] for a baby girl? I’m due in 2 1/2 weeks and need to get this settled!

I think it’s lovely. I love Avonlea

I love Avonlea! It’s in my favorites! (Excuse my misspelling of it in my signature. I need to fix that.)

Avonlea [name_f]Mae[/name_f] is beautiful.

[name_f]Love[/name_f] it! A very pretty name. Avonlea is so whimsical and charming.

What about the spelling? Does it make you want to pronounce it as A (with a long a)-vun-lea-uh or any other weird pronunciation? What about the [name_m]Avon[/name_m] make-up connection? Does it sound too made-up or fancy or just too much? Does it need a nickname?

My daughter is Avonlea (age 12) and we do have to help people pronounce and spell it, but she loves her name and we have only met one other. She also LOVES the books, so it feels special to her. She tells people that her name sounds like heavenly - they remember that! She doesn’t go by a nickname. [name_m]Just[/name_m] Avonlea.

So I am totally biased, but I [name_f]LOVE[/name_f] it! Another daughter of mine has [name_f]Mae[/name_f] as a middle. You have great taste in names

I love, love, love it. I would go with something like Avonlea if it wasn’t for my mom’s thick spanish accent making it not sound as lovely as it really is.

Beautiful choice! Have you considered nicknames? My only concern is that she might be called [name_m]Avon[/name_m] unless you deliberately choose a nn for her. [name_f]Ava[/name_f] or Aylee?

I love that name! I haven’t heard it as a name before and I think it would be great.

I think you may have found what you’re looking for. You have a lovely combo in Avonlea [name_f]Mae[/name_f]. I like the blend of literary pedigree and vintage charm.

Avonlea [name_f]Mae[/name_f] is absolutely stunning imo! I think of the [name_f]Anne[/name_f] of [name_u]Green[/name_u] Gables books by L.M. [name_m]Montgomery[/name_m].
