What are your thoughts on Basilie?
I got a feeling that it can be either perceived as very whimsical or very solemn and ‘antique’ :).
[name_f]Basilie[/name_f] is really pretty! It seems pretty whimsical and I could definitely see it on a little girl. I like how it’s similar to [name_f]Cecily[/name_f] in sound.

Sounds like a description to me, as in has a lot of basil. Oh this sauce is quite basilly. Maybe it’s an accent thing though.

It makes me think “basilisk” 
But it’s quirky and interesting. Definitely unexpected, and it does have quite a solemn vibe (mainly because I get that feel from [name_u]Basil[/name_u] and Basilia) but there’s a naturey side to it which lightens it up a bit. In short, I quite like it.

To me it looks like an old-timey [name_u]French[/name_u] name. How do you pronounce it? I think it would sound quite nice in a [name_u]French[/name_u] accent.

I’m not a french speaker but I’m guessing (from hearing several audios online) that it may be Bah/Beh-zill/sill-lie, depending on the accent, probably a bit similar to Cecily.

Not really a fan of how the ending sounds like “silly” and it seems masculine to me maybe because of Basil? Oh and Vasili!

Oh, okay. In my head, I was pronouncing it bah-zee-lee with a full-on [name_u]French[/name_u] accent.
