Thoughts on Bonnie?

Never mind about this name, but it catches my eye recently

Sounds more like a nickname to me. Sorry, it’s just really not my style.

Not sure what you mean by never mind.

[name_f]Bonnie[/name_f] is a name, not a nickname, at least in the US. It is lovely. It makes me think of cerulean skies and summer afternoons.

[name_u]Leslie[/name_u]

I really like [name_f]Bonnie[/name_f]. But, I don’t know if it will age well. It gives kind of a British vibe to me, it is lovely.

I think [name_f]Bonnie[/name_f] is a cute name, I’m not sure how I’d picture it on an adult though!

[name_m]Ive[/name_m] always loved [name_f]Bonnie[/name_f]! I’ve know children and adults with this name, so I think it works for any age. It’s a happy, pretty, unexpected name.

I like it.

I like it! It sounds very happy to me  [name_m]Harry[/name_m] [name_m]Potter[/name_m] actress [name_f]Bonnie[/name_f] [name_m]Wright[/name_m] lends to a great namesake, too

[name_f]Cheerful[/name_f], happy, positive vibe! [name_u]Love[/name_u] it!

I absolutely adore it, and i think it ages well.

I love [name_f]Bonnie[/name_f] so much, especially as a nickname for [name_f]Bonita[/name_f], which is a favourite of mine. [name_f]Bonnie[/name_f] can totally stand on its own though, and doesn’t need to be short for anything. I can imagine it on someone of any age.

I can only see it as a nickname for boys, because a boy I used to go to school with had this name as nickname, although spelt [name_f]Boni[/name_f] (but pronounced the same), so I can’t picture this as a real name, and on girls. Sorry.

Thank you all for your answer! I’m considering this one as a middle name.
@paulapuddephatt, being a spanish-born, [name_f]Bonita[/name_f] for me is and adjetive (pretty) and I’ve never met any girl named that.

I think it’s ok. I know too many middle aged women named [name_f]Bonnie[/name_f] for me to see it as anything but frumpy, but I think meeting a little girl with the name would change my mind. Something longer such as [name_f]Bronwen[/name_f] as a full name, nickname [name_f]Bonnie[/name_f] would catch my fancy a bit more, i think.

I really am fond of [name_f]Bonnie[/name_f], but it was my grandmother’s name, which could be why I like it. I think it’s rather sweet and it’s a somewhat unusual choice right now, but it does fit in with names like [name_f]Millie[/name_f], [name_f]Elsie[/name_f], [name_f]Lucy[/name_f] and [name_f]Ellie[/name_f], which are all popular right now.

I think [name_f]Bonnie[/name_f] is adorable! It has caught my eye lately, too, and I have to say I find it sweet for a little girl and kind of charming on a woman.

I think [name_f]Bonnie[/name_f] is cute, it makes me think of The Vampire Diaries. It might be a little cutesy for an adult but on the other hand it’s not too hard to wear so it would still be a nice choice.

I like it, it always reminds me of the little girl in Gone with the Wind, that’s probably not what most people think of though.

I know a grandma-aged [name_f]Bonnie[/name_f] and she wears it well.
