Thoughts on Botille?

Was watching the Women’s Rugby and came across Botille. (Pronounced Bo-til) Thoughts? What middle name would you put with it?

I think it’s pretty cool! I would go Botille [name_u]Rue[/name_u] or Botille [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f]

It reminds me of “bottle,” unfortunately. But I do like the similar Bodil – I think they’re probably variants of the same name.

Middle name ideas…
Botille [name_f]Diana[/name_f]
Botille [name_f]Caroline[/name_f]
Botille [name_u]Harper[/name_u]
Bottile [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f]
Bottile [name_u]Marlowe[/name_u]

Botille is very pretty in sound! Not so keen on how it looks but I think I could get past it.

Botille [name_f]Amelie[/name_f]
Botille [name_u]Vivian[/name_u]
Botille [name_f]Amalia[/name_f]
Botille [name_f]Louisa[/name_f]
Botille [name_f]Genevieve[/name_f]
Botille [name_u]Meredith[/name_u]
Botille [name_f]Seraphine[/name_f]

It reminds me a bit too much if the [name_f]English[/name_f] word bottle and the [name_u]French[/name_u] word boite (box) and bouteille (bottle).

I think it’s interesting. The similarity to “bottle” could be a bit challenging though. I haven’t encountered this name before, but I do know of Bodil (pronounced bo-deel) which is a Scandinavian name.

Before I read your pronunciation help I read this as “bodily” and immediately thought of “bodily fluids”. I would change the spelling to more mimick the correct pronunciation or just keep it as a GP.

I like this pronunciation!
