I don’t love it. I just think the potential for it to be shortened to Broad makes it unuseable

you could use it on a character, though I would expect there to be a story as to her name. my main concern is having “broad” in your name.

I think it’s usable for a character is there’s a reason why she was named that.
For real life child this is very tacky - more than other surname, this has connections to the stage.
It’s not illegal, but I hope other parents reading this consider what image this name sends.

The government has very little to do with naming in the US anyway. I only meant its not a good choice as a legal name but might be ok as a nickname for someone in theater.

For an OC, sure, but it’s pretty out-there so be careful. 
I agree that the “broad” part makes it difficult to wear. I have a hard time picturing it on a real person which would make it difficult to picture on a realistic character. I also agree with @rosepip that I’d expect there to be a story behind the name. [name_u]Or[/name_u] perhaps it’s a name the character chose for herself?
Honestly, I’d find it hard to enjoy a character named Broadway.

Definitely memorable for an OC! As long as it’s nothing offensive, I personally don’t see any issues with a super extravagant or ridiculous name for a fictional character.
