I’m pretty sure it’s kah-TREE-nah, like the previous poster said. I think it’s attractive, though I slightly prefer [name_f]Catalina[/name_f].

I would have said kay-tree-on-uh, oops! I like it, it reminds me of other -ana names like [name_f]Briana[/name_f], [name_f]Ariana[/name_f], [name_f]Eliana[/name_f], etc. I’d probably spell it Katriana to get that pronunciation.

I know both ca - treena ‘s and cat - ree - ona’ s all spelt catriona, I think the proper pronunciation is ca - treena but it’s down to personal preference really!
It’s pronounced like [name_f]Katrina[/name_f] but if you like the kah-tree-oh-na pronunciation, I can guarantee that’s how most people will say it (depending on where you live).
I would pronounce it [name_f]Katrina[/name_f]. I think [name_f]Catriona[/name_f] is gorgeous and worth making the necessary connections.

Fyi, I know 3 people named [name_f]Catriona[/name_f] who pronounces it as kat-ri-oh-na. I’m not intentionally mispronouncing a name just because I like it better. You don’t have to be rude about it.
Mine is pronounced Kuh - TREE - uh - nuh (emphasis on the capitals) although it seems to be pronouced 3 different ways. I don’t mind Ca - tree - OH - nuh, but don’t like it said like [name_f]Katrina[/name_f]. I suppose it’s personal preference. 
Reference: my own name, and my family are Scots.
The oh sound is a fit confusing. I prefer [name_f]Katrina[/name_f]. Reminds me of an elegant ballerina. I know a [name_f]Katrina[/name_f] who goes by [name_f]Trina[/name_f]. [name_f]Kat[/name_f] could be a nickname also.
[name_f]Catriona[/name_f] has always been one of my favourite names and to always looks better than [name_f]Katrina[/name_f]. (I prefer all [name_f]Catherine[/name_f] variants to be spelled with C). At one stage I too wondered about the pronounciation especially as [name_f]Fiona[/name_f] definitely has the “o” pronounced. Guess what your baby your choice.
