[name_m]Just[/name_m] found out we’re having a boy. I’ve already tossed some ideas to my husband about potential boy names. [name_m]Colin[/name_m] is a front-runner (actually, the only name my husband remotely likes). All my other favourites have been turned down: [name_u]James[/name_u], [name_u]Elliott[/name_u], [name_m]Pierce[/name_m], [name_m]Patrick[/name_m], [name_m]Bennett[/name_m], [name_m]Damian[/name_m].
[name_m]Reginald[/name_m] is the name of my husband’s 94-year old grandfather, so I’d like to honour him somehow. Does [name_m]Colin[/name_m] [name_m]Reginald[/name_m] go together? Our last name is 4 syllables. Any other suggestions? I kinda like preppy names.
AND, do you think [name_m]Colin[/name_m] could be easily pronounced in Spanish? [name_f]My[/name_f] family is of Spanish descent, though I don’t want to run the name by them b/c I want to keep it a surprise.
I really like [name_m]Colin[/name_m] [name_m]Reginald[/name_m]! [name_m]Reginald[/name_m] is a family name for me as well and I’d like to use it somehow. I think you did a nice job finding a name that it goes well with! Unfortunately I can’t speak for the Spanish-speakers but I don’t think it would be a problem.
[name_m]Colin[/name_m] [name_m]Reginald[/name_m] works well as a combo. I don’t think pronouncing it in Spanish would be difficult, but it will sound different in that language.
Thanks everyone. One more question. I’m contemplating adding a fourth name to the mix, my husband’s middle name (although it’s the name he goes by): [name_u]Leighton[/name_u].
Should I leave the name [name_m]Colin[/name_m] [name_m]Reginald[/name_m]? Is [name_m]Colin[/name_m] [name_m]Reginald[/name_m] [name_u]Leighton[/name_u] or [name_m]Colin[/name_m] [name_u]Leighton[/name_u] [name_m]Reginald[/name_m] a bit too much?
