The name [name_m]Cove[/name_m] has really begun to warm on me lately, so I’m curious as to what the general consensus on the name is around here. Though I’m more leaning toward it being for a boy, I think it could go either way myself - what do you think? I’m liking it as a first, yes, but perhaps more-so as a middle name option.
I really like [name_m]Cove[/name_m] for a boy! I can see it for a girl too, although I definitely prefer it on a boy. I think [name_m]Cove[/name_m] makes a great first, or as an unexpected middle for a common first name.
[name_m]Cove[/name_m] sounds much more masculine to me. I would be surprised to see it on a girl. I quite like it as a name. It’s short, simple, and has a softness to it. Brings to mind water and solitude, which I like. Handsome name.
It’s more of a middle name for me. I see it as a middle name for a long, classic first name. It could be for a girl, but I more so picture it on a boy.
[name_m]Cove[/name_m] seems masculine to me. I personally prefer it for a middle name. I have it on my list of middle names (for boys), it has special meaning.
[name_m]Cove[/name_m] is one of our top choices for a boy, although I like it more than my husband does lol. We like it as a first name because, to my ears, it would just sound like a beach location if put behind something. For instance, [name_m]Andrew[/name_m] [name_m]Cove[/name_m], [name_m]John[/name_m] [name_m]Cove[/name_m], or [name_u]Seth[/name_u] [name_m]Cove[/name_m] sound like places…[name_m]Cove[/name_m] [name_m]Alexander[/name_m], [name_m]Cove[/name_m] [name_m]Benjamin[/name_m], and [name_m]Cove[/name_m] [name_m]Elijah[/name_m] sound like men/boys.
I know that not everyone is a fan, but I love the laid-back, easy-going, tranquil, friendly vibe of [name_m]Cove[/name_m]. And honestly? Many go on, at least on here, about noun names like [name_m]Bear[/name_m], [name_u]Wren[/name_u], [name_u]River[/name_u], etc., so [name_m]Cove[/name_m] isn’t all that strange…
I like it a lot! It brings to mind an area of shelter and safety. It reminds me a lot of [name_m]Cole[/name_m], so I think it would be fine as a first.
I adore [name_m]Cove[/name_m], I have it as a middle name for a boy in my signature, but I think it could work as a first name too, although I’d definitely pair it with a strong middle in that case. I love that it feels soft, which can be a bit unusual in boy’s names, and I love the seaside imagery it creates.
Thank you all for sharing your opinions. I’m still very much in love with [name_m]Cove[/name_m]. My favourite combo for him at the moment is [name_m]Emrys[/name_m] [name_m]Cove[/name_m].
