The title says it all.
[name_f]Love[/name_f] it?
Like it?
Not my style but not bad?
He’ll be called Crispy his entire life?
Absolutely horrid?

Definitely not my style. Is it horrible? No. If someone asked me, “Hey, let me set you up with my friend [name_m]Crispin[/name_m]!” Would I want to go? I would definitely have a hard to generating a mental image of what kind of person it was. I might think it was sort of weird. I think the nickname would be [name_u]Cris[/name_u], which gets you to a pretty common name, so it might not be worth it.
I don’t think it’s HORRID, but when you wrote Crispy… that was pretty much my thought.
But then again, [name_u]Cris[/name_u] would be probably the most common nn and that’s not bad at all. :]
[name_m]Crispin[/name_m] may work for a middle name though. It wouldn’t be used as often, but you could still
use it if you love it.
[name_m]Lucas[/name_m] [name_m]Crispin[/name_m], [name_m]Milo[/name_m] [name_m]Crispin[/name_m] are cute combos imo.
It would have to be a first name because our middle names are all family names. [name_m]Crispin[/name_m] isn’t a family name.
I really [name_f]DO[/name_f] NOT like the nn [name_u]Cris[/name_u]. 1. Because I hate that name and 2. It’s the name of the [name_f]MIL[/name_f].
We’d call him [name_m]Crispin[/name_m] and only [name_m]Crispin[/name_m], though I realize I can’t control what others would call him.
Lol my name is [name_f]Krystal[/name_f]… I’ve never been called [name_u]Kris[/name_u], but I dislike my name.
I don’t think it is HORRIBLE, I think it could work with the right middle name.
Whatever you choose will be fine, I’m sure. Final chose is rightfully yours,
it’s just not my style is all. What kind of family names do you have to pair with it, do you mind sharing?
I like [name_m]Crispin[/name_m] a lot, but I wouldn’t personally use it. It’s a really great name in that it’s unusual but has a more common nickname, so if [name_m]Crispin[/name_m] decides he hates his name he can always go by [name_u]Cris[/name_u]. I feel like it’s one of those names that a lot of people won’t like until they actually meet a little kid with that name, and then it’ll seem like the cutest name ever. So yeah, if you love it, use it. I would be absolutely thrilled to meet a little [name_m]Crispin[/name_m].
[name_f]Krystal[/name_f], I dont mind sharing now but I will go back later and edit the names of my kids out for my own peace of mind.

Oh now, seeing those… I do like all of those with [name_m]Crispin[/name_m]… and I can see it working just fine!
Kind of sounds like [name_f]Kristen[/name_f]. Also sounds like a cereal. And I’m having flashbacks to American [name_m]History[/name_m] class-- a guy named [name_m]Crispus[/name_m] Attucks who was killed in a massacre?
Wow. Random stream of consciousness.
So, not my favorite but I don’t hate it. I guess I just have random associations with it because it’s an unusual name.
^ Hilarious!
[name_f]Krystal[/name_f], when I say the name with my other kids, it sounds fine too. But someday he’ll stand on his own. You know?
I don’t mind the name [name_m]Crispin[/name_m]. It is an acquired taste. However, I don’t really like it with [name_m]Cassian[/name_m] and [name_m]Killian[/name_m] but that’s just my aversion to the boys names all ending in “n” trend. I think it would be ok as a mn but personally I wouldn’t use it for a fn in your family. Have you considered names ending in “s” instead? Some classical names like [name_m]Matthias[/name_m], [name_m]Cyrus[/name_m], [name_m]Atticus[/name_m], [name_m]Tobias[/name_m], [name_m]Phineas[/name_m], [name_m]Amias[/name_m], [name_m]Ozias[/name_m], [name_m]Barnabas[/name_m], [name_m]Andreas[/name_m], [name_m]Nicodemus[/name_m], [name_m]Thaddeus[/name_m], [name_m]Lucius[/name_m], [name_m]Silas[/name_m], [name_m]Cornelius[/name_m], [name_m]Darius[/name_m], [name_m]Augustus[/name_m], [name_m]Aurelius[/name_m], [name_m]Rufus[/name_m] or [name_m]Marcus[/name_m] would work well with your children’s names.
[name_u]True[/name_u]. Poor [name_m]Bennett[/name_m] will be all alone. [name_m]Cassian[/name_m], [name_m]Killian[/name_m], [name_m]Crispin[/name_m] and…[name_m]Bennett[/name_m].
I’ve met one [name_m]Crispin[/name_m], always thought it was a nice name.
Yes of course. I meant more the style of names and it’s not like say, [name_u]Ashley[/name_u], [name_f]Ava[/name_f], and [name_m]Ned[/name_m]. Know what I mean?
But I have no room to talk about sib sets, all my children start with A… hehe :]
It’s not as bad as my example above this, though. Lol.
I don’t like it haha. Crispy. That’s all I can think. :3
I like [name_m]Crispin[/name_m]…to me it sounds distinguished. Like a name you would hear on a wealthy person.
I think it’s a strong, distinguished medieval name, a natural brother for [name_m]Roland[/name_m] or [name_m]Godfrey[/name_m]. I wouldn’t use it myself, but I would love to meet a little [name_m]Crispin[/name_m].
It isn’t to my taste, it sounds too stuffy or snooty to me. I’d prefer [name_m]Christian[/name_m], [name_m]Christos[/name_m], [name_m]Christof[/name_m], or just [name_m]Christopher[/name_m]. It will inevitably be nn [name_u]Chris[/name_u] or [name_u]Cris[/name_u], in any case.
