I’m crushing on [name_f]Daisy[/name_f] at the moment. There are some overtly cutesy guilty pleasure names I like, such as [name_f]Kitty[/name_f], [name_f]Bunny[/name_f], [name_f]Birdie[/name_f], etc but I obviously can’t use them. I would never give those names to a baby because I can’t picture an adult woman named [name_f]Kitty[/name_f] no matter how hard I try. ([name_f]Kitty[/name_f] as a nickname for [name_f]Katherine[/name_f] is one thing, but actually being named [name_f]Kitty[/name_f] is completely different.)
I’m undecided as to wether or not [name_f]Daisy[/name_f] belongs in the cute on a child, absurd on an adult category. I’m leaning towards yes, but I can’t decide on a clear answer.
[name_f]Do[/name_f] you like [name_f]Delilah[/name_f]? I think of [name_f]Delilah[/name_f] as the slightly more grown up version of [name_f]Daisy[/name_f]. Or have [name_f]Daisy[/name_f] as a middle name, like [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] [name_f]Daisy[/name_f] Lastname.
I love [name_f]Daisy[/name_f]! I don’t know that I’d use it all on its own, but that’s mainly because I don’t think there’s one MN I like after [name_f]Daisy[/name_f]. I like it as a nn, though, and if you can find a combo you like, I would say go for it! I don’t think it’s any cutesier than [name_f]Ivy[/name_f], [name_f]Poppy[/name_f], or [name_f]Lily[/name_f], two of which are pretty popular (one of which is exceedingly so!). I know two grown Daisys that wear it just well, not to mention an adorable teenage girl that gives it some femininity and power and wisdom. Plus, [name_f]Daisy[/name_f] [name_m]Johnson[/name_m]! I love [name_u]Skye[/name_u]/[name_f]Daisy[/name_f] on [name_f]Marvel[/name_f]'s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., and I’m so glad they gave her [name_f]Daisy[/name_f] as her given name! It suits her completely, and she’s so incredibly kick-butt and cool. I’m not sure if I’d put it on a birth certificate or not, but I’d certainly be up for [name_f]Adelaide[/name_f] nn [name_f]Daisy[/name_f], or something like that!
