Dale is nice! Underused… though some may say its dated.

I think it works better as a middle name than first name, I wouldn’t choose it as a pick and even prefer [name_u]Gale[/name_u] over it, I also think it makes a good nickname!
It feels dated and makes me think of the character from Step Brothers, who isn’t a very good role model, and [name_u]Dale[/name_u] from The Walking Dead. It sounds unappealing to me.
Seconding TWD association. It feels like a simple, Southern name. Too basic for my style, but not a bad name
another TWD association! I think the name is very sweet. It is a bit dated, but I would still love to meet a little [name_u]Dale[/name_u]. I second the suggestion of [name_u]Gale[/name_u] - which is lovely, and feels a bit more current! There’s also [name_u]Hale[/name_u] and [name_u]Vale[/name_u], though they’re a bit more bold than [name_u]Dale[/name_u]!
I associate it with [name_m]Chip[/name_m] And [name_u]Dale[/name_u]- although that’s not necessarily a bad thing. It’s kind of cute actually

I knew a [name_u]Dale[/name_u] in high school, so it doesn’t sound that “old-mannish” to me. I think it could be suited for a comeback a la [name_u]Dean[/name_u]. I’m pretty neutral towards it, but I like it more than I dislike it.
That was my grandpa’s name! I wanted to use it as a middle name but it clashes with our last name.
I personally like it but it’s a family name. I think it makes a handsome middle name. I prefer [name_m]Dalton[/name_m] as a first name although I have a friend who used it.

I think it’s sweet! I know a girl with this name as well and it suits her wonderfully. Works for both genders.

Just seeing it on it’s own makes me think of the chipmunk… if I saw it as a full name I might feel differently
I think it’s simply adorable! I only know female Dales, but totally works for a boy.
I know two Dales:
- A middle-aged woman
- A big dog
