Well I say it the same as Dreamer so it sounds to wordish to me sorry.
[name_f]My[/name_f] honest first thought was ‘is this a name?’. Dreama reminds me of the [name_f]Tayla[/name_f] idea - formulating/respelling a name to suit an accent. Almost like taking the name [name_f]Alana[/name_f]/[name_f]Alannah[/name_f] and respelling it as Alarnar so that way it’s spelled as if someone from say, the United Kingdom is saying it.
Honestly, I think it’s a bad idea. [name_f]Aisling[/name_f] means dream - perhaps that is a better choice.
I love word names but not fond of this one. Dreams can be wonderful but they can also be scary or depressing or sad. Dreams can be reached or they can be something that people feel can never happen.
I like it. I first heard of it in a [name_u]Lee[/name_u] [name_m]Smith[/name_m] novel, based in Appalachia-- maybe it’s a bit less unusual in those parts? idk.
I second the suggestion of [name_f]Aisling[/name_f]/[name_f]Ashling[/name_f]. It’s a little too literal for me, personally; however, it would be fine as a middle name… maybe.
I don’t care for it, sorry. It seems cheesy to me, sort of cheap and like it’s trying too hard. If I met a Dreama, I would be under the impression that she was somewhat low-class. Unfair, I know. But that would be my impression! It reminds me of names such as
[name_f]Princess[/name_f]
[name_f]Charmaine[/name_f]
[name_f]Crystal[/name_f]
Champagne
[name_f]Desiree[/name_f]
I agree that it sounds sorta cheesy/faux-princess.
Sisters Precious, Sparkle, Bellrina, and Flaurel
Is there anyone out there who likes this name? I am wondering what you like about the name, if you do, for I seem to be alone in my liking for Dreama.
I think it would make a cute middle name, although I think using [name_u]Dream[/name_u] as a middle name would be even more adorable but it’s not really my style.
