Thoughts on Eleanor Ariana

[name_m]Hi[/name_m],
What are your thoughts on the name [name_f]Eleanor[/name_f] [name_f]Ariana[/name_f] for our girl?
I am not 100% sure about [name_f]Eleanor[/name_f] since I think it might sound like an old name. It is her dad’s favorite. We are considering calling her [name_f]Ellie[/name_f] when she is young if we go with [name_f]Eleanor[/name_f].

What do you think?

I like the names in that combo and the nn choice. You can also easily do [name_f]Ella[/name_f] as a nn if you choose. I personally think [name_f]Eleanor[/name_f] is old is new again kind of name.

These names don’t go together to me. They’re different styles. Eleanor sounds classic and English, but Arianna sounds more modern and Spanish.

Well we chose [name_f]Eleanor[/name_f] for our daughter so obviously I’m biased towards that name!

I knew an [name_f]Ariana[/name_f] once and she was really outgoing and bubbly and friendly so the name has good connotations for me.

They’re not names that I’d immediately put together but with the right surname the flow could sound really good.

Firstly nothing wrong with old

Sometimes going with something classic is definitely the way forward!

I think [name_f]Eleanor[/name_f] is beautiful completely understand why it’s her dads favourite. [name_f]Ellie[/name_f] is a lovely nickname as well. I think [name_f]Ariana[/name_f] is sweet even though I wouldn’t immediately put them together. As others have said with the right surname [name_f]Eleanor[/name_f] [name_f]Ariana[/name_f] could be a wining combination.

I think [name_f]Eleanor[/name_f] [name_f]Ariana[/name_f] is beautiful

[name_m]Hi[/name_m] there.

I love [name_f]Eleanor[/name_f]. It’s an old name, but not in a dated way. It’s more timeless & classic. It’s also fairly popular on babies these days. Especially w/the nn [name_f]Ellie[/name_f]. [name_f]Ellie[/name_f] is super cute. It’s just something to consider if popularity bothers you. I don’t mind the [name_f]Ariana[/name_f], although it’s not really my style. But mainly I don’t think that [name_f]Eleanor[/name_f] [name_f]Ariana[/name_f] flows that well. It has a lot of 'r’s & 'n’s.

[name_f]Hope[/name_f] this helps.

It’s a bit vowel heavy as a combo but they are lovely names.

I think its beautiful

I like [name_f]Eleanor[/name_f] mostly because it has such versatile nicknames. For a while it just wasn’t my style but it’s grown on me a lot. [name_f]Ariana[/name_f] I have always loved though (I have a cousin with this name too, Greek background, so while different from [name_f]Eleanor[/name_f] I think [name_f]Ariana[/name_f] can be from multiple cultures). I actually really like [name_f]Eleanor[/name_f] [name_f]Ariana[/name_f], the sounds complement each other imo, and I think although different styles, the names flow very nicely. [name_f]Ariana[/name_f] [name_f]Eleanor[/name_f] would also be great too, should you want to flip them.

I absolutely love [name_f]Eleanor[/name_f], it is timeless and classic.

However, if you don’t love [name_f]Eleanor[/name_f], don’t choose it! You should go for something you love.
