I fell in love with the name [name_f]Electra[/name_f] before I realized the Greek story and Freudian reference.
What are you thoughts on looking past that and using it as a little girl name?
In addition to the references you mentioned, I also think of the American movie [name_f]Elektra[/name_f]. I think it might be a game, too. Anyways, that reference also puts me off because, although she is a badass and sexy, she’s kind of evil and heartless.
I think it has a lovely sound but personally I would not use it because of the associations you mentioned.
I do like the Italian form [name_f]Elettra[/name_f] though, which I have read is a fairly common name in [name_f]Italy[/name_f] and has other associations.
[name_m]Don[/name_m]'t look past it and don’t use it as a little girl’s name.

I love [name_f]Electra[/name_f] ^^ I wouldn’t be able to use it myself, it would be too far-fetched in Norway, so any advice I give on its’ usability is kind of moot XP I think I would prefer it as an unexpected middle.
I think [name_f]Elettra[/name_f] is a little more wearable, removes it somewhat from the complex, electricity and the comics character who is now also a Netflix/MCU character. Both names would be lovely to see used!
When I hear it I automatically think [name_f]Elektra[/name_f] from [name_f]Marvel[/name_f]/Daredevil (the Netflix show lol the movie is a disgrace). But she’s awesome so nothing to worry about there.
Name wise I love it! So cool! It could have a nickname like [name_f]Elle[/name_f], [name_f]Ella[/name_f], [name_f]Ellie[/name_f] if you even wanted. 
It makes me think of Playboy model [name_u]Carmen[/name_u] [name_f]Electra[/name_f]. I do like the sound of the name though.

You know, the more I explore names the more I still love [name_f]Electra[/name_f]. I know it has some negative associations but it just really fits with our family. I’m still considering it.
