Such a pretty name!

I do think it would get confused with [name_f]Alyssa[/name_f] or [name_u]Lisa[/name_u] sometimes. Maybe [name_f]Eliza[/name_f] too

I would assume her to be elegant, maybe a little sultry and mysterious (I’m talking about an adult named this - I honestly have a bit of a hard time seeing it on a little kid [not that it can’t work on a child, it’s just not what I think of when I hear the name])

I pronounce it ell-EES-uh

I would pronounce it eh-LEE-sah.
I think it’s really pretty and sweet, it’s just unfortunate that it might get mixed up with really dated names like Alyssa and Lisa. I prefer Eliza, Elina and Elise for that reason. But Elisa is still really nice!

As previously mentioned, it could be mixed up with [name_f]Eliza[/name_f] or [name_f]Elise[/name_f] occasionally, but I don’t think that it should be any deterrent. It’s a bit different, which automatically gives it a bit of life, but not in a gaudy or obvious way. It’s very elegant and sweet, and those are the sorts of assumptions I’d make about someone called [name_f]Elisa[/name_f], should that be what I’m judging them on.

Elisa (uh-LEE-suh) is one of my dear cousin’s names! She is funny, absolutely gorgeous, loving, and friendly. This name is just so her, so I associate it with the good things that my cousin is. Love it x

Her nickname, by the way, is Issy! Pronounced EE-see. We all call her that!

It’s not really confusing. She doesn’t get called Eliza or Elise, far as I know. Not more than anyone gets their name mixed up. I’m a Hazel and people call my Hailey more than they call Elisa Eliza!
