Is likely to be mispronounced or misspelled or lost amongst all the Elsa, Elsie, Alice, Alyssa, Melissa, Lisa, Annelise, Alicia, Alessia, Aleisha, Eloisa, Eliza ect.
What would you assume about someone named Elisa? Please tell me the honest good and the bad or anything you think.
Who are her siblings, what is her age, how do YOU pronounce it
[name_f]Elisa[/name_f] is sleek and pretty. It sounds quite delicate and friendly but it also feels versatile
I do think it might sometimes get confused for [name_f]Eliza[/name_f] or [name_f]Elise[/name_f] but i think people would get used to it
I pronounce it eh-lee-suh and I’d call her siblings [name_f]Lyra[/name_f], [name_f]Phoebe[/name_f], [name_f]Juliet[/name_f], [name_u]Sierra[/name_u], [name_u]Rory[/name_u], [name_m]Casper[/name_m] and [name_m]Ivar[/name_m]
I do think it would get confused with [name_f]Alyssa[/name_f] or [name_u]Lisa[/name_u] sometimes. Maybe [name_f]Eliza[/name_f] too
I would assume her to be elegant, maybe a little sultry and mysterious (I’m talking about an adult named this - I honestly have a bit of a hard time seeing it on a little kid [not that it can’t work on a child, it’s just not what I think of when I hear the name])
I would pronounce it eh-LEE-sah.
I think it’s really pretty and sweet, it’s just unfortunate that it might get mixed up with really dated names like Alyssa and Lisa. I prefer Eliza, Elina and Elise for that reason. But Elisa is still really nice!
As previously mentioned, it could be mixed up with [name_f]Eliza[/name_f] or [name_f]Elise[/name_f] occasionally, but I don’t think that it should be any deterrent. It’s a bit different, which automatically gives it a bit of life, but not in a gaudy or obvious way. It’s very elegant and sweet, and those are the sorts of assumptions I’d make about someone called [name_f]Elisa[/name_f], should that be what I’m judging them on.
Elisa (uh-LEE-suh) is one of my dear cousin’s names! She is funny, absolutely gorgeous, loving, and friendly. This name is just so her, so I associate it with the good things that my cousin is. Love it x
Her nickname, by the way, is Issy! Pronounced EE-see. We all call her that!
It’s not really confusing. She doesn’t get called Eliza or Elise, far as I know. Not more than anyone gets their name mixed up. I’m a Hazel and people call my Hailey more than they call Elisa Eliza!
