What are your thoughts on [name_f]Elise[/name_f], [name_f]Iris[/name_f] and [name_f]Thea[/name_f]? Which do you prefer and why? Appreciate any feedback. I am also open to other suggestion.
I prefer [name_f]Thea[/name_f]. [name_f]Elise[/name_f] and [name_f]Iris[/name_f] are both beautiful names, but [name_f]Thea[/name_f] is much less common out of these choices.
I also think [name_f]Thea[/name_f] is just divine. [name_f]Elise[/name_f] and [name_f]Iris[/name_f] may not be as fitting when they get older and they do sound more childlike. [name_f]Thea[/name_f] is something that isn’t too common but not over the line unique and it’ll make people remember her name since it’s so lovable! [name_f]Thea[/name_f] being short for [name_f]Theresa[/name_f] is splendid and it’s a name you don’t see everyday, but will always think about it when you hear it. [name_f]Thea[/name_f] is a great choice!
I like [name_f]Elise[/name_f] (though I prefer [name_f]Elyse[/name_f]) and [name_f]Thea[/name_f].
Iris isn’t my favorite for three reasons, I suppose.
- name of a flower
- anatomical,body part
- phonetics… Eye Rihhss? I don’t love the sound of rhiss /wrist-without -the-T… Eye wrist?
All three names are beautiful, and you really can’t go wrong with any of them.
I’d rank them:
- [name_f]Iris[/name_f] – Sweet, and spunky. [name_f]Iris[/name_f] flowers are gorgeous and I love the flower connotation.
- [name_f]Elise[/name_f] – I’m a bit biased as this is my name, but I find it sweet and youthful.
- [name_f]Thea[/name_f] – [name_f]Thea[/name_f] is cute gives off a rosy sort of touch. I will say that I’m not the biggest fan of the spelling though.
[name_f]Elise[/name_f] is my favorite. I know adult Elises and their name does not seem childish. I’ll also say [name_f]Iris[/name_f] isn’t childish either, but in general, I’m unfortunately not keen. It rhymes with virus and that’s unshakeable for me.
[name_f]Thea[/name_f] is powerful and divine, but I’m just not sure about the sound. However, it’s experiencing a spike in popularity and there’s nothing wrong with it.
I’d personally go with [name_f]Elise[/name_f]!
Hi, I’m [name_f]Thea[/name_f]. We have [name_f]Elise[/name_f], now we just need an [name_f]Iris[/name_f] on Nameberry.
I really like all three.
Thea is mature and fresh. [name_f]Elise[/name_f] is sparkly and fun. [name_f]Iris[/name_f] is floral and delicate. All three have strengths, but I honestly can’t find a weakness for any of them. I think [name_f]Thea[/name_f] maybe will age the best, but [name_f]Elise[/name_f] and [name_f]Iris[/name_f] definitely don’t seem childish, I can totally picture both of them on an adult.
If I HAD to pick, I think I’d pick [name_f]Thea[/name_f]…
Firstly all three are lovely names but my favourite is Iris. Iris was a top contender for my daughter for a while before I become fonder of other names so clearly I am a massive fan of Iris. I think Iris is a lovely vintage botanical name she feels spunky & vibrant with the adorable meaning rainbow which is ideal for a baby born in a pandemic. Iris to me feels ageless not childish however none of these names are childish. Anyways I think Iris is lovely!
Iris is by far my favourite! [name_f]Elise[/name_f] is fine, but a little dated and tired to me (I grew up with a tooon of them) and [name_f]Thea[/name_f] is a nice name, but it just doesn’t do it for me. All lovely and delicate choices, though!
I adore [name_f]Iris[/name_f] and [name_f]Thea[/name_f] and really like [name_f]Elise[/name_f] too. They’re all elegant, beautiful names.
Elise is my favorite! It has a lot of meaning to me!
Elise is sleek and sweet
Iris is sharp and pretty
Thea is cute and bubbly
Hazel, [name_f]Lola[/name_f] and [name_f]Stella[/name_f] came to mind
Thea is my favourite! Short and sweet, closely followed by [name_f]Elise[/name_f].
I really like all! If I have to rank, it would be [name_f]Elise[/name_f] > [name_f]Thea[/name_f] > [name_f]Iris[/name_f] but [name_f]Thea[/name_f] is a really close second. [name_f]Thea[/name_f] is sweet and spunky. [name_f]Iris[/name_f] is cool. [name_f]Elise[/name_f] is elegant and classic.
i honestly love all of these names, i think iris is just my favourite though
Iris is my favorite, but I have a strong bias toward botanical names. I think [name_f]Iris[/name_f] is so elegant and still unexpected on an American baby.
Thea would be my second choice.
I like [name_f]Thea[/name_f] and [name_f]Iris[/name_f] the most. All three feel timeless but I just find these two have more of a little something about them than [name_f]Elise[/name_f] which feels plain to me
They’re all very pretty names, imo! Personally, [name_f]Thea[/name_f] feels a bit too nickname-y for me, so that makes me not like it as much. [name_f]Elise[/name_f] is more refined and adult-ish, while [name_f]Iris[/name_f] is happy go-lucky little girl to me. So, because of that, I prefer [name_f]Iris[/name_f] overall, but really all of them are so pretty and I don’t dislike any of them!
I adore both [name_f]Iris[/name_f] and [name_f]Thea[/name_f]! [name_f]Elise[/name_f] is nice but doesn’t stand out as much to me.
Iris is my favorite out of these.
