Never heard of this name before. What do you think of [name_f]Ellender[/name_f]? Would it work better as a middle name? What would you pair it with if it was baby’s first name?
[name_f]Ellender[/name_f] is intriguing - a little like [name_f]Eleanor[/name_f], [name_f]Endellion[/name_f], [name_m]Leander[/name_m] and [name_m]Oleander[/name_m].
How are you saying it? ellen-der, eh-LEN-der?
While I do think it would be ‘safer’ in the middle spot, it would be a bold first name option which also has familiar sounds.
For middles:
[name_f]Ellender[/name_f] [name_f]Lois[/name_f]
[name_f]Ellender[/name_f] [name_f]Maven[/name_f]
[name_f]Ellender[/name_f] [name_f]Phoebe[/name_f]
[name_f]Ellender[/name_f] [name_f]Carys[/name_f]
[name_f]Ellender[/name_f] [name_f]Lilac[/name_f]
[name_f]Ellender[/name_f] [name_f]Maisy[/name_f]
[name_f]Ellender[/name_f] [name_f]Ruby[/name_f]
[name_f]Ellender[/name_f] [name_f]Cleo[/name_f]
I’ve never heard of it! It’s very unique yet classic sounding— though if I’m honest, I sounds much more masculine than feminine to me at least!
I believe it could work well as first or middle!
[name_f]Ellender[/name_f] [name_f]Elise[/name_f]
[name_f]Ellender[/name_f] [name_f]Louise[/name_f]
[name_f]Ellender[/name_f] [name_f]Faye[/name_f]
[name_f]Ellender[/name_f] [name_f]Jane[/name_f]
[name_f]Ellender[/name_f] [name_f]Alice[/name_f]
I like it! I do love [name_f]El[/name_f]- names, and even chose one for a first name for my son and another for my daughter’s middle name! [name_f]Ellender[/name_f] would be a unique choice that could balance out the popularity of the [name_f]El[/name_f]- beginning. It kind of gives odd medieval vibes for me.
I could see it for a boy or a girl! The beginning sounds a little more on the feminine side, and the ending reminds me of [name_m]Evander[/name_m] and [name_m]Alexander[/name_m].
For some reason, I can’t really picture myself being able to use it smoothly as a first name on a child for the day-to-day, but I felt the same about [name_f]Eloise[/name_f], so I used it as a middle for my daughter haha. That being send, that’s probably more of a me thing because even with [name_f]Eloise[/name_f], I actually can easily see it as a first name for a child, but it just felt unnatural for me myself to use it day-to-day if that makes sense haha. So while I personally would be more likely to use [name_f]Ellender[/name_f] as a middle name, I think it is totally useable as a first name! I would imagine an Ellie/Ella/Elle nickname would be hard to avoid with the name, which is great if the parent or the [name_f]Ellender[/name_f] loves the nickname, but could be a little tricky if they don’t want it. [name_f]Leni[/name_f] could also be a cute nickname, if wanted.

I’m fairly certain this is [name_m]Blake[/name_m] Lively’s middle name. While it’s not my favorite, I do think it is usable, particularly as a middle.

[name_f]Charlotte[/name_f] [name_f]Ellender[/name_f]
[name_f]Rosemary[/name_f] [name_f]Ellender[/name_f]
It sounds very [name_m]Lord[/name_m] of the Rings to me, which I personally think is a good thing, but if you aren’t a fan I would be prepared for that!
[name_f]Ellender[/name_f] sounds so interesting to me! I imagine a sweet but independent person. It’s gentle and adventurous at the same time.
I believe it works well as a first or middle name.

I agree that it sounds like a high fantasy name. Was reading the description, [name_m]German[/name_m] for foreigner or stranger. I imagine the nicknames would be [name_f]Ellen[/name_f] or [name_f]Ellie[/name_f] (I prefer Ellie). I like that the name is easy to spell and say. Here’s some possible middles:
[name_f]Ellender[/name_f] [name_f]Leona[/name_f]
[name_f]Ellender[/name_f] [name_f]Corvina[/name_f]
[name_f]Ellender[/name_f] [name_m]Archer[/name_m]

[name_f]Ellender[/name_f] [name_f]Vasilisa[/name_f]
[name_f]Ellender[/name_f] [name_f]Rosalie[/name_f]
[name_f]Ellender[/name_f] [name_f]Lenore[/name_f]
[name_f]Ellender[/name_f] [name_f]Lunette[/name_f]
[name_f]Ellender[/name_f] [name_m]Peregrine[/name_m]
[name_f]Ellender[/name_f] [name_f]Deidre[/name_f]
[name_f]Ellender[/name_f] [name_f]Fara[/name_f]
[name_f]Ellender[/name_f] [name_f]Cyrene[/name_f]
I found this name thanks to [name_m]Blake[/name_m] [name_f]Lively[/name_f], and while that’s not a bad association by any means, I always hesitate putting it higher on my list as I don’t want someone to think I’m a super fan. However I also think hardly anyone knows what her middle name is and I’m way overthinking it!
I also can’t help but think, that even though I really like the name, it would sound way better if I had a non-rhotic accent. But again probably just overthinking it.
As for middles Id suggest …
[name_f]Ellender[/name_f] [name_f]Lily[/name_f]
[name_f]Ellender[/name_f] [name_f]Lois[/name_f]
[name_f]Ellender[/name_f] [name_f]Evadne[/name_f]
[name_f]Ellender[/name_f] [name_f]Estelle[/name_f]
[name_f]Ellender[/name_f] [name_f]Marie[/name_f]
[name_f]Ellender[/name_f] [name_f]Faye[/name_f]
I’m not a fan because it’s very similar to a common [name_f]English[/name_f] insult. Sorry
[name_m]Can[/name_m] I ask what insult?
I’m not really willing to say tbh because of the nature of the insult
