My fiancé and I still haven’t decided on a boy name for our child, but I’m having so much fun looking!
My latest name crush is Everest.
We are experiencing pregnancy complications so I just feel like baby needs a big name, because they’re conquering so much, you know?
I asked my fiancé and he said that he actually didn’t know how he felt about the name and would think about it. I’m just curious of others thoughts !
Thanks in advance.
Edit: I adore the name Ever but it was shot down because it was too feminine, but I feel like Everest could offer Ever as a nickname.
I love your idea behind wanting to use a strong name for your little fighter! Some names that bring up images of strong handsome men;
[name_u]Hudson[/name_u], very strong sounds.
[name_u]Jude[/name_u], short, sweet, but strong!
[name_u]Oak[/name_u] or [name_u]Oakley[/name_u], for an [name_u]Oak[/name_u] tree of course. What’s stronger?
And if you’re going for more of the conqueror feel, why not some of the great conquerors of history, (although not always the nicest of people, and i wouldn’t be rushing to name my little boy [name_m]Napoleon[/name_m] or [name_m]Adolf[/name_m]), what about; [name_m]Alexander[/name_m], [name_m]Augustus[/name_m], [name_m]Cyrus[/name_m], [name_m]Julius[/name_m], [name_m]William[/name_m] or [name_m]Octavio[/name_m].
I’ve been loving [name_u]Everest[/name_u] lately too! It has replaced [name_u]Everett[/name_u] in a lot of my potential combos. [name_u]Ever[/name_u] is not really my style, but definitely works. That’s one thing I prefer about [name_u]Everett[/name_u] - the potential nn Rett/[name_m]Rhett[/name_m].
[name_u]Everest[/name_u] is a great name, and I think it achieves the strong image you’re after perfectly. NN [name_u]Ever[/name_u] would be lovely too
Thanks for your feedback guys! The name is really growing on me, especially after my fiance said that my favourite name ‘[name_m]Atlas[/name_m]’ wasn’t sitting right with him. We have tentatively decided on [name_m]Casper[/name_m] [name_m]Adrian[/name_m] Wilde as our boys name, but I’m still not 100% sold on it. If that’s the only name we can agree on at the end of the pregnancy I’m happy to go with it but I would prefer a first name with a bit more meaning to me. My first son is called [name_u]Phoenix[/name_u], and we also had pregnancy complications with him, to the point where we were told he was likely to pass away within a few days if we didn’t act soon, so the name feels very symbolic for us. We thought we’d lost him but he pulled through and began to thrive thankfully. So to have this baby called something that doesn’t have a strong meaning doesn’t feel right to me. My only hang up with [name_u]Everest[/name_u] is that it’s three syllables but I think our lazy Australian accent will have it shortened to ‘EV-REST’ in time anyway.
Also, I’m fairly sure it goes well with the middle names we’ve chosen; [name_u]Everest[/name_u] [name_m]Adrian[/name_m] Wilde. Feedback on that welcome! [name_m]Adrian[/name_m] is after my father so that’s not able to be changed.
