Thoughts on Felix?

I am currently pregnant with a girl we’re naming [name]Catherine[/name] [name]Grace[/name], ‘[name]Cate[/name]’ for short. But I would love to use [name]Felix[/name] for her brother! (if I ever have one, that is)
Thoughts on this name?
Thank you Xx

I love [name]Felix[/name] and I think it goes really well with [name]Catherine[/name] “[name]Cate[/name]”! It seems to be rising in popularity, which makes me a bit nervous to use it personally, but it’s a lovely, interesting, appealing name.

I love the name [name]Felix[/name]! I would totally use it, especially in a sibset with [name]Catherine[/name] [name]Grace[/name] nn “[name]Cate[/name]”. [name]Felix[/name] and [name]Cate[/name]. So sweet!

[name]Felix[/name] is my top pick if this baby is a boy. It seems popularish here on nameberry, but I’ve yet to meet one in real life.

There is nothing wrong with it, but I get a super nerdy, wimpy vibe from it, therefore, nms.

I have a cat named [name]Felix[/name], but if I didn’t I would like it as a boy name! Goes well with your girl name, too.

[name]Love[/name] [name]Felix[/name] a lot. It’s the only boys name I really love right now.

I adore it, but it’s not as well-loved outside nameberry circles. People seem to think its to cutesy or a cat name. [name]One[/name] potential downside is that it’s not the most strong or commanding name for later in life. It’s a more friendly name. I have a hard time imagining a [name]Felix[/name] running for president, for example.

Would you imagine someone running for President with the name [name]Willard[/name], [name]Mitt[/name] or [name]Barack[/name]?

I love [name]Felix[/name], as it has a long and illustrious pedigree plus a great meaning. The only downside is that it seems to be everywhere on name fora these days (if that bothers you at all, which it may not). I know a few Felixes personally.

I love [name]Felix[/name]! It’s my favourite boys name ever and I plan on using it if we have boy to go with big sister [name]Luna[/name]. It’s just so dynamic, the x makes it masculine and strong but the [name]Fe[/name] sound is soft and beautiful. And it means happiness!

Considering I have a [name]Felix[/name], I obviously love the name! We have still never met another [name]Felix[/name] (he’s 2 and a half). It’s old-fashioned but quirky. We chose it for the Ancient [name]Roman[/name] connection as well as the meaning. As for it not sounding like a president’s name, I think that’s silly! We made sure it sounded good in case our son ever wants to be president, a doctor, a judge, etc. It’s a strong name with a great history and my boy wears it well. We get a lot of compliments on the name too!

I think it is an amazing name! Plus it goes well with [name]Cate[/name]. Now that it has the “Fearless [name]Felix[/name]” connection I don’t think it will ever be a wimpy name. I hope to someday have a little [name]Felix[/name] too!

I really like the name! It’s a contender for if we have more than one son.
I love the name you have chosen for your daughter! I think the 2 would go well together.
All the best.

I love [name]Felix[/name], and I hope to use it myself in the future. I wanted to use it for our first pregnancy, but if a baby was named [name]Felix[/name] the same year [name]Felix[/name] Baumgartner made his jump, my husband felt it would seem we were naming the baby after him.

I think [name]Felix[/name] and [name]Cate[/name] are adorable together! What a lovely sibset!

Hehehe, just tell [name]Felix[/name] Baumgartner he doesn’t have an achiever’s name! Now I can’t imagine a man called [name]Jett[/name] or [name]Brayden[/name] as president, but [name]Felix[/name] is an ancient, legitimate and upstanding name. Can you tell I have one?

I still adore the name and mine is 8. He often gets Flix for short from his family but everyone else calls him [name]Felix[/name]. It’s beautiful and so is he!

I like it! Now there is of course sadness in this name to me ( our [name]Felix[/name] had passed they estimate around 19-20 weeks gestation and I was induced at 21 weeks) given the circumstances. I honestly have no clue if we would have normally chosen it had I gone to term, but it felt right at the time. No experience with having a little one having this name and seeing peoples reactions to a child with this name who is standing in front of them. But as far as it being “common” or “everywhere” I live in the US and have yet to meet another [name]Felix[/name] who is a child. I did see the name tag of a worker at I think Target once with this name, however he was an adult. It is mentioned on here a lot, but depending on where you live, it may be relatively unused.

Not to be all morbid etc on your post, but we did choose this name and so I am sharing my experience with it.
