So I recently found this name randomly on here, and its one I’ve never heard. I love the sound…but I hate how it looks. I don’t know, something about it throws me off. But its growing on me. What are your thoughts?
(Oh by the way, this is just a general interest question. I’m 17, no babies for me yet!)
I really like [name]Fifer[/name]. Maybe it’s the double Fs throwing you off? That’s why it looks a little weird to me. [name]Pfeiffer[/name] is the way to spell it as a surname but that looks REALLY weird to me.
I think if [name]Harper[/name] and [name]Piper[/name] can be names, why not [name]Fifer[/name]? I would love to meet a little [name]Fifer[/name].
I like it, too! I really like [name]Piper[/name], so I’m not surprised with myself, haha…just as long as it’s pronounced ‘Fie-fur’, not ‘[name]Fee[/name]-fur’!
I really dislike [name]Piper[/name], but I think [name]Fifer[/name] would make an adorable middle name. I can’t see it working quite as well as a first, but maybe that’s because I’ve never met a little Fifter.
I think I prefer [name]Pfeiffer[/name] even though it’s surnamey and the spelling is complicated. Something about [name]Fifer[/name] is visually unappealing to me. I love the letter F, so I’m not sure what it is that’s bothering me.
Whatever the spelling, it looks and sounds more masculine to me than [name]Piper[/name] or [name]Harper[/name].
I keep wanting to say ‘[name]Fee[/name]-fah’, which I think is horrible but comes naturally, and I suppose it would be a bit of a problem if this was to be used on an actual child.
I’m not a huge fan of [name]Piper[/name], but I do think [name]Fifer[/name] (fye-fah) is very pretty. I agree with other posters that the spelling doesn’t look very attractive. Feiffer, maybe? That does more justice to the original surname spelling, looks more attractive and would be easier to pronounce.
