Oh I love [name_m]Gilbert[/name_m]! [name_m]Gil[/name_m] is very sweet, but I’m honestly smitten with [name_m]Bertie[/name_m] lately, even more. I think of [name_m]Gilbert[/name_m] as a mix between the one from [name_f]Anne[/name_f] of [name_m]Green[/name_m] [name_m]Gables[/name_m] and one from a series of novels I read as a teenager… that [name_m]Gilbert[/name_m] was a rebellious rake and incredibly selfish and self-seeking but through the story had a wonderful redemptive arc and became one of the most principled men, full of integrity, goodness, and grace. So when I think of [name_m]Gilbert[/name_m], I think of someone a little impish, but also kind, full of goodness and integrity, more trustworthy than the sun to rise each morn. I don’t know that he fits with my general taste in boys’ names, he almost feels too vintage, but I love him for you! He’d fit so well with [name_f]Chava[/name_f], [name_f]Hazel[/name_f], and [name_m]Woods[/name_m]. ![]()
[name_m]Gilbert[/name_m] [name_m]Isaac[/name_m] was my first idea, but that clearly won’t work ![]()
. Maybe:
- [name_m]Gilbert[/name_m] [name_f]Arden[/name_f] (like the Shakespearean forest?)
- [name_m]Gilbert[/name_m] [name_m]Forest[/name_m]
- [name_m]Gilbert[/name_m] [name_m]Ash[/name_m]
- [name_m]Gilbert[/name_m] [name_m]Cedar[/name_m]
- [name_m]Gilbert[/name_m] [name_m]Rowan[/name_m]
- [name_m]Gilbert[/name_m] [name_m]Jasper[/name_m]
- [name_m]Gilbert[/name_m] [name_m]Forster[/name_m]
- [name_m]Gilbert[/name_m] [name_m]Moss[/name_m] (really like this! [name_m]Not[/name_m] as obviously woodsy as a tree name like [name_m]Cedar[/name_m] or Rowan!)
- [name_m]Gilbert[/name_m] [name_m]Rivers[/name_m]
- [name_m]Gilbert[/name_m] [name_m]Ephraim[/name_m]
- [name_m]Gilbert[/name_m] [name_m]Fox[/name_m]
Good luck!
