What are your honest thoughts on the girls name [name_f]Aura[/name_f]? My husband really loves this name but I am not sure and would love your honest opinions.
I like [name_f]Aura[/name_f], but I feel that a lot of her time it gets mistaken for [name_f]Ora[/name_f], which, [name_f]IMO[/name_f], lacks the same feel. Perhaps [name_f]Aurelie[/name_f]/[name_f]Aurelia[/name_f] or [name_f]Aurora[/name_f] may be to your liking?
It feels a little hippy dippy.
Two thoughts: 1) I second the hippy association; 2) I feel like it has potential for mispronounciation or teasing as “oral”-- which no girl needs.
[name_m]Just[/name_m] trying to look out for your baby girl!
I like [name_f]Aura[/name_f], Maybe [name_f]Audra[/name_f] or [name_f]Aurora[/name_f] are better or [name_f]Ora[/name_f]
Go with [name_f]Aurora[/name_f] if you can. [name_f]Aura[/name_f] makes me think oral a bit.
It feels new-agey to me. Not a bad thing–just not the style I go for, personally!
I would opt for [name_f]Aurora[/name_f] personally, or maybe even [name_f]Audrey[/name_f], [name_f]Arabella[/name_f], or [name_f]Aurelia[/name_f].
It is a little too flower child like for my taste. I prefer [name_f]Aurora[/name_f].
[name_f]Aura[/name_f] feels magical and mystical to me, like something out of a fantasy novel. I think it’s usable in real life due to its similarity to names like [name_f]Aurora[/name_f], [name_f]Aurelia[/name_f] and [name_f]Maura[/name_f], but on the other hand the similarity makes it more easily mistaken for another name. I think [name_f]Aura[/name_f] would work on its own or as a nickname for [name_f]Aurora[/name_f] or [name_f]Aurelia[/name_f] if you want something more established. [name_f]Orla[/name_f] is another similar-sounding name with more of a history.
I like it!
