When my daughter told me the name they chose for my second granddaughter, I hated it. Well, maybe not hate, but after having my first granddaughter given a beautiful traditional name, [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f] [name_f]Helena[/name_f], the thought of a name of a character from a card game her and her husband play, well…I thought it was silly. But, 4 years later, I absolutely love her name!
The game is [name_u]Magic[/name_u] the Gathering and the character is Avacyn the Archangel of [name_f]Hope[/name_f].
[name_f]My[/name_f] granddaughter is Avacyn [name_f]Hope[/name_f].

Beautiful name.
it’s not my personal style but it’s a pretty name!! Lots of people name after favourite movies, books, songs etc so I don’t think naming after a game is strange. [name_f]My[/name_f] family reacted with a bit of shock when my cousin was born and his name seemed very unique to us but it suits him so well now and we’ve all grown to love it
