My husband and I can not agree on a name for our second child. We have a daughter [name]Madison[/name], nicknamed [name]Maddie[/name].
I love the name [name]Grant[/name]. I think it would be adorable on a baby and a name that he can grow into that is manly or strong and traditional. My husband thinks it’s more of a name for an old man.
My husband likes [name]Camden[/name] which I originally liked and he didn’t like. Since he didn’t like it at first, I started looking for other names and now I don’t like it because I feel that it’s too trendy and more feminine.
We are thinking [name]Harold[/name] as a middle name after my grandfather, but are not set on [name]Harold[/name].
Help! Please give opinions on what you think of the names [name]Grant[/name] and [name]Camden[/name]… Thanks
[name]Grant[/name] is timeless and strong.
When I think of [name]Camden[/name], I think: celebrity baby name. It is really popular now, but it could fall out of favor with the other -den names: [name]Aiden[/name], [name]Brayden[/name], [name]Cayden[/name], [name]Jayden[/name], [name]Hayden[/name], etc.
[name]LOVE[/name] [name]Grant[/name]! As for [name]Camden[/name], I just think of the town in [name]New[/name] [name]Jersey[/name], which doesn’t have the best reputation. I do love [name]Cameron[/name] for a boy, though! I think [name]Grant[/name] [name]Harold[/name] would be lovely.
I have realized the presidential theme after the fact. And strangely, it wasn’t done purposefully. I have a preference towards names that are surnames or sound like surnames.
I am ok with them sharing the name with some of our forefathers, especially because we generally use [name]Maddie[/name] and I don’t think too many ppl would ever make the connection. And if they did I would just laugh about it. As long as there names don’t rhyme or sound very similar they are ok in my book.
Thank you. I hope this will help my husband see the potential of [name]Grant[/name]!

I love [name]Grant[/name]. This was on my daughter’s list, but she had a girl. [name]Camden[/name] reminds me of the depressed and ghetto city in [name]New[/name] [name]Jersey[/name].
I don’t know how I feel about double middle names. I think if I were to use double mn, they’d both have to have special meaning. [name]Both[/name] [name]Camden[/name] and [name]Grant[/name] are names that don’t have particularly special meaning, rather I love the sound of them or they give me a good impression of my child’s future…
I can’t believe how complicated this whole naming thing is!
I prefer [name]Grant[/name]. [name]Grant[/name] [name]Harold[/name] is very manly name - handsome and strong and pairs well with [name]Madison[/name] “[name]Maddie[/name]”.
Because [name]Madison[/name] is a last-name-first-name, and [name]Camden[/name] is too, if I saw [name]Madison[/name] and [name]Camden[/name] together, I wouldn’t be sure if [name]Camden[/name] is a boy or a girl (especially so for me, as the only [name]Camden[/name] I know is female).
[name]Camden[/name], to me, is a market in north [name]London[/name]. I don’t care for most place names, especially ones of places I’m familiar with, so I’d pick [name]Grant[/name]. I think it works better with [name]Madison[/name] nn [name]Maddie[/name] as well.
