Last night I had a dream that I gave birth to a baby girl (even though I’m years away from having kids). In the dream, I named her [name]Greer[/name] [name]Olivia[/name].
When I woke up, I had an “aha!” moment, like I had found the perfect name. And usually I don’t like [name]Olivia[/name], but I love it paired with [name]Greer[/name].
[name]Greer[/name] is my current name-crush (which I’ve fallen head-over-heels for), and I think with [name]Olivia[/name] it sounds like an Old Hollywood moviestar.
What do you guys think of [name]Greer[/name] [name]Olivia[/name]?
I love it, actually! [name]Olivia[/name] is one of my favorite girls’ names, it usually kills me to see it in the MN spot (despite its popularity. ha.), but I love it with [name]Greer[/name] (although I do prefer the [name]Grier[/name] spelling), another name I’ve considered in the past! [name]Grier[/name]/[name]Greer[/name] is one of those few unisex names I really love, and I think [name]Greer[/name] [name]Olivia[/name] has such a beautiful, understated balance. I really adore it. I like [name]Grier[/name]'s/[name]Greer[/name]'s meaning, “watcher”, too.
I agree with [name]Ash[/name], [name]Greer[/name] is one of the only unisex names I actually prefer on a girl and I’m not sure why. [name]Olivia[/name] works perfectly with a lot of unisex names because it is so girly and frilly but is probably a little bit more modern than something like [name]Elizabeth[/name] and makes a change of from seeing [name]Rose[/name], [name]May[/name]/[name]Mae[/name] and [name]Grace[/name] next to everything.
[name]Greer[/name] [name]Olivia[/name] is gorgeous!
I don’t know if this matters to you (anyone, really, lol), but I was looking [name]Greer[/name]/[name]Grier[/name] up on parentsconnect, and it listed [name]Grier[/name] as the feminine version, while [name]Greer[/name] is unisex? I don’t know how accurate that is, but that just made [name]Grier[/name] that more appealing to me on a girl.
ashthedreamer, I didn’t know that! I kind of like that [name]Greer[/name] is more masculine, but [name]Grier[/name] feels a little daintier (which I love!).
I’m not sure which spelling I prefer, but I like the idea that [name]Grier[/name] is for girls :).
