[name_m]Just[/name_m] like the title what are your thoughts on [name_f]Haidee[/name_f]. What would you think if you met a little girl named [name_f]Haidee[/name_f]? Is it usable in general?
My first thought is that it reminds me of Hades.
If I met a girl by this name, I would think that her parents liked [name_u]Haley[/name_u] or [name_u]Hadley[/name_u], but wanted something a bit different. I’m not a huge fan of the double ''e" ending. I do think that it could be usable these days, though!
It makes me think of Hades, as well as the country Haiti. I am not loving it, sorry!

I would think you were saying Haiti.
I, too, hear Haiti, and am reminded of Hades. I don’t think that [name_f]Haidee[/name_f] is very usable…@dream.create gave some nice suggestions for alternatives, my favorites for you are [name_f]Heidi[/name_f] and [name_u]Hadley[/name_u]. With [name_u]Hayden[/name_u], you could maybe use Haydie as a pet name?
Haiti, Hades and made up. No…
My brain translated it to Hate-ee. Then I thought, ‘did she mean [name_f]Heidi[/name_f]?’
I would think her parents like The Count of Monte Cristo, and we should be friends. So, I like it.
I knew someone named Hadiya, who went by Haidee.
Not a fan. Let’s just say I vastly prefer [name_f]Heidi[/name_f].
I associate the name with poverty because it sounds like Haiti. My second association is with Hades.
It makes me think of [name_m]Don[/name_m] [name_m]Juan[/name_m]. It’s not my favorite name, but I do quite like it. I consider it usable.
I think it’s fine and usable. I know a few girls with this name, although I think most of them spell it Haydee.
@libelluleclaire, would you be pronouncing this as “hate-ee”, like the country, or as “hi-dee”, like the name [name_f]Heidi[/name_f]? My immediate assumption is to pronounce it “hate-ee”, so if it’s mean to be pronounced as “hi-dee”, it might be clearer spelled [name_f]Heidi[/name_f].
Ha yes that is exactly where I got it
I pronounce it ‘hay-dee’ kind of like [name_f]Katie[/name_f] but with a softer ‘t’ sound
