Thoughts on Henry?

When you hear [name_m]Henry[/name_m] do you think classic or overused? We are expecting baby #2 and if it is a boy, my husband is pretty decided on [name_m]Henry[/name_m]. I have always loved the name, but worry it is too popular right now. I really don’t know many personally so maybe it’s just my perception. Our first son’s name is [name_m]Miles[/name_m] and I do like how the two sound together.

What do you think?

[name_m]Henry[/name_m] is a great name. I only know an older [name_m]Henry[/name_m], and he’s a veritable genius, as well as a funny and nice guy, so good associations.

[name_u]Love[/name_u] [name_m]Henry[/name_m]!!

It’s a regal classic and not overused in my area at all. If you’re in the US, I would try looking at the statistics for your state to get a better idea of how popular [name_m]Henry[/name_m] is in your area.

I think [name_m]Henry[/name_m] is a great name, it’s my favorite boy’s name. It is ranked #29 in the US, but you should definitely check your state’s statistics.

[name_m]Henry[/name_m] is adorable and goes well with [name_m]Miles[/name_m]. I liked the article on nameberry about 8 babynaming mistakes–no name is as popular as you think, even if it’s high up on the popularity list. Also, don’t avoid a name you love just because it’s popular. I say go for what you love

I love [name_m]Henry[/name_m]! I only know one [name_m]Henry[/name_m] and he’s in middle school so I don’t think it’s too overused.

[name_u]Love[/name_u] it, definitely Classic and not overused (At least I don’t know any)

I absolutely love the name [name_m]Henry[/name_m] - it’s my favourite boys’ name by quite a long way! It has been climbing in popularity lately, which is a bit annoying, but that definitely wouldn’t stop me using it, because I like it so much. Also, despite the statistics, I’ve only ever met two [name_m]Henry[/name_m]'s, so I think ‘classic’ before ‘overused’ And if it’s a name that you both love, I think you should go with it!

I’m in Australia and I know a couple of primary school-aged Henrys and one baby [name_m]Henry[/name_m]. It’s definitely on the rise here, but doesn’t stop it from being a great name.

I love [name_m]Henry[/name_m] & consider it a classic. I only know of one [name_m]Henry[/name_m] born recently (in the past 5 years). It is not that popular in my area or social circles. [name_m]Henry[/name_m] and [name_m]Miles[/name_m] are perfect together!!!

[name_m]Henry[/name_m] is a great name.
Yes, it is a bit popular, but there is a good reason it is popular. People like it, and it is a classic.
