I love this name, and [name_u]Indy[/name_u] is one of the sweetest nicknames! I met a little girl named [name_f]Sedona[/name_f] the other day. I think that place names will continue to take off and are the perfect combination of familiar and unique.

I think [name_u]Indiana[/name_u] is really cool! I follow someone on Instagram who named her daughter [name_u]Indiana[/name_u] [name_f]Kate[/name_f] and she calls her [name_u]Indy[/name_u] [name_f]Kate[/name_f]! I love it!

I think [name_u]Indiana[/name_u] is a cool name. It’s a place so it sounds familiar, but it’s new and uncommon as a name. It also has a ton of nickname options so if they don’t like their full name they could go by short and sweet [name_u]Indie[/name_u] or classic [name_f]Diana[/name_f] or [name_f]Ana[/name_f].

I think it looks great as a fn or middle but I sure do prefer it in the first name spot
You can get so many cute nn like Indie, Diana, Ana, Andie, Dee, Ann
And it flows very well in combos

I really like [name_u]Indiana[/name_u]! I’d even consider using it since I also love the nickname [name_u]Indie[/name_u] even though I have no relation to the state of [name_u]Indiana[/name_u] (at least have been there though!) but the meaning “land of the Indians” bothers me since it incorporates an outdated and incorrect term for indigenous people. If someone had a connection to [name_u]Indiana[/name_u] though, I think that could be ignored. I just personally can’t ignore my lack of connection and the cringe-y meaning.

I like it, but I prefer it for a boy personally. Perfectly fine in the first or middle slot imo; I have no preference.

i love the name indiana, though i prefer it on a boy. for a girl, indy would be really cute. however, i don’t think i’d really use the name (as in, real life) because of the dated meaning.
