I [name_u]LOVE[/name_u] the name [name_m]Ivan[/name_m]. I think it sounds sophisticated but cool and can grow from a baby through adulthood. I live in the US and my husband thinks it sounds too foreign but I disagree. Thoughts? Middle name would be [name_m]Paul[/name_m] and we have a very [name_m]German[/name_m] last name.
[name_m]Ivan[/name_m] is a lovely variation of [name_m]John[/name_m]. It is quite popular in Slavic countries - it is as used as [name_m]John[/name_m] in English speaking ones. I like it and I like [name_u]Van[/name_u] as a nickname. Are you sure about [name_m]Paul[/name_m]? Because [name_m]Ivan[/name_m] [name_m]Paul[/name_m] sounds bold to me. What about [name_m]Ivan[/name_m] [name_m]Pauley[/name_m] or [name_m]Ivan[/name_m] [name_m]Paulin[/name_m]?
I like [name_m]Ivan[/name_m]; I don’t think it sounds too foreign sounding at all. It’s easily pronounced and spelled, yet isn’t a name you hear all the time.
[name_m]Ivan[/name_m] [name_m]Paul[/name_m] is a wonderful name! I don’t think it’s too foreign because everybody knows how to say and spell it and the name is familiar but not too common. I say go for it!
