Thoughts on Jade Persephone

Not only is [name_f]Persephone[/name_f] my absolute favorite goddess, but she’s associated with the Virgo constellation which this baby might be (although it could be Virgo or [name_u]Leo[/name_u] depending on when it actually comes. However my dad who I’m extremely close to, my favorite grandpa who just passed last year, and my only nephew who is my best little friend in the world are all virgos so it is sentimental to me. [name_u]Jade[/name_u] is for sure the first name of it’s a girl.

Is [name_u]Jade[/name_u] [name_f]Persephone[/name_f] usable in real life?

I thought maybe because it’s the middle name, it wouldn’t be as difficult as using it as a first name since I know I rarely ever have to tell people my middle name. So it’s not like she would have to say it every day.

jade persephone is lovely!!

i honestly think persephone is very usable, it’s becoming more popular as a first name and imo is probably one of the most usable goddess/mythology names. In the middle spot it’s perfect for the reasons you stated and i love it’s sentimental value to you! x jade is simple and sweet and persephone gives it that little bit extra x

Absolutely! I quite like the longer, unexpected middle name with a sleek, one-syllable first like Jade. Jade Persephone is a stunning combo! :slight_smile:

I like it I think its really nice. Are you due a child? If so, congratulations! Sorry, if this is a weird question, it just didn’t specify whether you were expecting, or just planning for future.

I really like the longness of [name_f]Persephone[/name_f] which contrasts the shortness of [name_u]Jade[/name_u], and I love the connections [name_f]Persephone[/name_f] has.

Yes! Thank you! We just found out we are expecting after TTC for 8 years. We are extremely excited. It’s still really early so we don’t know if it’s a girl or boy yet, but we are picking a few names for each.

I enjoy the flow better as well but I’m not brave enough to use it as a first name lol

I looooove this combo!!! [name_u]Jade[/name_u] is quite a hard name to me, and [name_f]Persephone[/name_f] is quite frilly but I think they balance each other out excellently and it just makes for this really pretty but super cool name!!!

Congratulations and all the best with this pregnancy! [name_u]Jade[/name_u] [name_f]Persephone[/name_f] is gorgeous. I gave my daughter the middle [name_f]Freya[/name_f] and have had no regrets. [name_f]Persephone[/name_f] was on the table for our second but the flow didn’t work at all. I think it’s a stunning name and so meaningful to you, I would go for it!
