What are you thoughts on using “just” [name_u]Theo[/name_u] instead of [name_m]Theodore[/name_m]?
I love the name [name_f]Eliza[/name_f], and I think [name_u]Theo[/name_u] and [name_f]Eliza[/name_f] sound like a great sibling pair. I honestly also like [name_m]Theodore[/name_m], but I feel like if I used [name_m]Theodore[/name_m], I would also want to use [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] to even out of formality of the names. I MUCH prefer [name_f]Eliza[/name_f] over [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] “[name_f]Eliza[/name_f],” though.
So, I would want to use either [name_f]Eliza[/name_f] and [name_u]Theo[/name_u] or [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] and [name_m]Theodore[/name_m].
Also, do you prefer [name_f]Eliza[/name_f] & [name_u]Theo[/name_u] or [name_f]Eliza[/name_f] & [name_m]Leo[/name_m]?
I definitely think [name_u]Theo[/name_u] can be a full name. [name_f]Eliza[/name_f] and [name_u]Theo[/name_u] make a great sibling set. I personally feel neutral about [name_u]Theo[/name_u], I adore [name_u]Teddy[/name_u], either as a nickname for [name_m]Theodore[/name_m] or as a full name. I adore [name_f]Eliza[/name_f] and [name_m]Leo[/name_m], would adore even more [name_f]Eliza[/name_f] and [name_m]Milo[/name_m].
I think [name_u]Theo[/name_u] is just fine as a full name.
But I also think [name_f]Eliza[/name_f] and [name_m]Theodore[/name_m] work well together. I do understand the feeling that [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] is more of [name_m]Theodore[/name_m]'s “match,” but [name_f]Eliza[/name_f] and [name_m]Theodore[/name_m] each have three syllables, and [name_f]Eliza[/name_f], though derived from [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f], has been used enough on its own that it doesn’t read as a nickname to me.
I say use [name_m]Theodore[/name_m] nn. [name_u]Theo[/name_u] unless you want to avoid [name_m]Theodore[/name_m] for other reasons (like wanting the “official” name and the day-to-day name to match).
[name_u]Theo[/name_u] is absolutely fine on its own and Wandsworth is correct. In the UK [name_u]Theo[/name_u] is at 21, [name_m]Theodore[/name_m] is 38.
[name_u]Theo[/name_u], like [name_f]Eliza[/name_f], feels complete and I really like them together
Personally, I prefer [name_m]Theodore[/name_m]. However, [name_u]Theo[/name_u] works ferfe tly well on it’s own, and is more popular than [name_m]Theodore[/name_m]. [name_f]Eliza[/name_f] and [name_u]Theo[/name_u] is lovely
I personally think [name_f]Eliza[/name_f] and [name_m]Theodore[/name_m] are perfect together. Although it originated as a diminutive of [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f], [name_f]Eliza[/name_f] feels well-established as a standalone name, which is more than I can say for [name_u]Theo[/name_u]. I know it’s very popular on its own at the moment, but I still struggle to think of it as anything other than a nickname. That’s just me, though; I know most people probably wouldn’t agree.
[name_f]Eliza[/name_f] & [name_u]Theo[/name_u] go better than [name_f]Eliza[/name_f] & [name_m]Theodore[/name_m].
I understand that people just have their favorite names, but sometimes I feel like some people are blind.
I think [name_u]Theo[/name_u] is perfectly fine as a full name! [name_u]Theo[/name_u] and [name_f]Eliza[/name_f] are great together, but I really like that both [name_m]Leo[/name_m] and [name_f]Eliza[/name_f] have a strong “L” sound.
[name_u]Theo[/name_u] by itself is absolutely fine, and it’s more popular here than [name_m]Theodore[/name_m] (UK). I prefer “just” [name_u]Theo[/name_u] with [name_f]Eliza[/name_f] as well!
[name_f]Eliza[/name_f] & [name_u]Theo[/name_u], definitely. They are a beautiful sibset!
I know one [name_m]Theodore[/name_m], who is always [name_u]Theo[/name_u]. And I agree [name_f]Eliza[/name_f] is so much prettier than [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f].
Personally I think siblings [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] and [name_m]Theodore[/name_m] with nicknames [name_f]Eliza[/name_f] and [name_u]Theo[/name_u] are adorable. But if you don’t like [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] some similar options are [name_f]Elizabelle[/name_f] and Elizabette. Although [name_f]Eliza[/name_f] and [name_u]Theo[/name_u] are perfectly fine as full names and do sound nice together!
