- I would personally use it as a middle - eg Freya LaRue, Xanthe LaRue (just as an example, could be any name you love) or as a nickname (eg Delilah Ruby = LaRue; Larissa Rue/Roux = LaRue). I like the name, and I like Ru/Roo as a sound and nickname - but not yet sure about LaRue (but more on this below).
- I would imagine quite edgy / urban but still literary & breezy cool names, like sisters, Vera, Zola, Nyx/Nixie, Nova, and brothers, Hollis, Caius/ Cairo, Jett, and Hartley.
- The more I say the name and picture someone wearing it, the more I see an artistic, free-spirited (yet strong, confident, embodied), quick-witted girl/woman. It definitely has some associations with rap culture for me - probably partly from Kid Laroi but also the “La” and “Lil” -something being popular in rap names. It’s a high risk high reward name, in my mind!
