My partner and I were set on [name_m]Ezra[/name_m] for a boy’s name, but the closer I get to my due date, the less I like it. Our surname is [name_m]Ritchie[/name_m]. [name_m]Ezra[/name_m] [name_m]Ritchie[/name_m] doesn’t flow as well as I’d like and it is kind of hard to say.
At the moment I’ve been leaning towards [name_m]Leon[/name_m] (lee-on). It’s out of the top 100 where I live, although I’m worried he’d be confused for [name_m]Leo[/name_m] which is floating somewhere around the top 20.
What do you think of [name_m]Leon[/name_m]? [name_m]Leon[/name_m] [name_m]Ritchie[/name_m]? Or should we stick with [name_m]Ezra[/name_m]?
I like [name_m]Leon[/name_m] [name_m]Ritchie[/name_m] but it’s a little close to [name_u]Lionel[/name_u] so if that’s an issue for you, you might want to avoid it. [name_m]Ezra[/name_m] is fine but I do think it doesn’t flow well. What about [name_m]Eli[/name_m] or [name_u]Ellis[/name_u]? I really like [name_m]Eli[/name_m] [name_m]Ritchie[/name_m] or [name_u]Ellis[/name_u] [name_m]Ritchie[/name_m].
Funnily enough someone else said the same thing, but it isn’t much of an issue to me given his declining popularity.
[name_u]Elias[/name_u] ([name_m]Eli[/name_m]) was a top contender but my cousin just had a baby named [name_m]Elijah[/name_m] (who goes by [name_m]Eli[/name_m]). If it weren’t for that, [name_m]Eli[/name_m] would still be in the top spot.
I have always loved the name [name_m]Leon[/name_m] and it sounds great with your surname, I much prefer the flow over [name_m]Ezra[/name_m] though that is still a solid name.
I immediately thought of [name_u]Lionel[/name_u] [name_m]Ritchie[/name_m]. If you don’t mind the connotation, you should go for it because it does sound good with [name_m]Ritchie[/name_m].
[name_m]Leon[/name_m] is a bit of an old man name to me, but it does flow well with your last name. My favorite of the ones in your signature would be [name_m]Miles[/name_m]. I’ll also suggest [name_m]Otis[/name_m].
