Thoughts on Liliosa?

I’ve been debating on whether or not to post this. I really love this name, and I didn’t wish for anyone to crush my love for it. I finally asked someone in my family if the name was usable or not, they of course found it ‘up there’ with my other unusual names. I immediately thought perhaps this was a name I should ask on Nameberry to see all sorts of thoughts upon this paticular name. Please give your thoughts

I absolutely [name_f]LOVE[/name_f] this name.
It is my favorite of all the double ‘l’ names.

Pretty. A fresher version on [name_f]Liliana[/name_f] and [name_f]Lily[/name_f].

I really like [name_f]Liliosa[/name_f]! It’s an unusual alternative for [name_f]Liliana[/name_f], which is getting more and more mainstream by the day, I feel. I would love to meet one, and I really like it with some of your other options–particularly [name_f]Eleni[/name_f], [name_f]Lyra[/name_f], [name_m]Lysander[/name_m], and [name_m]Sebastian[/name_m].

Good luck!

Really pretty! [name_f]One[/name_f] of my friends is actually named Eliosa and it’s perfectly usable! I thought it was the coolest name when I heard it.

It makes me think, “It’s [name_f]Lil[/name_f]-ee-OHHHHH-sah.” Not “[name_f]Lil[/name_f]-ee-oh-SAHHH.” Like [name_f]Hermione[/name_f] [name_m]Granger[/name_m]

I like it, though!

Haha this was my thoughts exactly. It is a pretty name though

My first thought too haha

EXACTLY what I thought.

pretty. I think I prefer [name_f]Liliana[/name_f], but I might love [name_f]Liliosa[/name_f] because of the HP association.

Oh, I didn’t think it had a [name_m]Harry[/name_m] [name_m]Potter[/name_m] association at all, then again I don’t know anything about HP. Apparently J.K. Rowling and I like a lot of the same names haha. @Faithnamer, I love Eliosa! It’s very lovely

I also think HP spell, and this from someone who only saw one of the movies and never read the books. I prefer [name_f]Lilias[/name_f], I think, but it’s a pretty name for sure.

It sounds like it should be a word to me, a noun instead of a name. But I guess I don’t know what I think a liliosa would be - maybe a stage in the lifecycle of some insect like a larva or a pupa. Somehow it sounds scientific to me.

I’ve never seen or read anything [name_m]Harry[/name_m] [name_m]Potter[/name_m], so I can’t have any input on that association. But I think the name is unique but NOT odd, so I think it’s usable for sure!

I love it!

Me too! LOL!

Honestly, I’ve never heard of this name before. It’s appealing, I like [name_f]Lil[/name_f]- names. I prefer simple [name_f]Lily[/name_f] myself, but I don’t think [name_f]Liliosa[/name_f] is unusable at all.

I like it

I did think of [name_m]Harry[/name_m] [name_m]Potter[/name_m] but I believe the spell is Leviosa. Anyway, it is a pretty name.

To me it’s kind of a nicknamey name–li-lee-o-sa. I think it’s the -osa ending. So, you wanted feedback, it’s nms but I think it’s definitely usable.

Gwensmom - Your comment made me laugh, I don’t know if it should have, but it did

I’m so happy to see that everyone at least likes the name, and thank you to Paw who sort of cleared up the [name_m]Harry[/name_m] [name_m]Potter[/name_m] confusion. [name_f]Glad[/name_f] to see that it’s not [name_f]Liliosa[/name_f] but rather Leviosa?

Greyer - I love the name [name_f]Lilias[/name_f], if I don’t choose [name_f]Liliosa[/name_f], I’ll definitely take that one into consideration! Thank you.
