Chic and sassy. I would love to have this name. Nickname [name_u]Lou[/name_u] is also really fun.

Seconding everything @cactusgram said!

I have a bad association but it’s so nice!

Echoing this

[name_f]Thelma[/name_f] and [name_u]Louise[/name_u]!

I love [name_u]Louise[/name_u]! Such an elegant, underrated classic. It’s very versatile and not too strongly associated with anything, which I think is a definite plus. I personally would love to see more people using [name_u]Louise[/name_u]!

It’s simple and spunky! I really like it  It feels sunshiny and bright

[name_f]My[/name_f] friends little sister is [name_u]Louise[/name_u] and everyone called her [name_f]Lulu[/name_f]! She pronounced her name with an emphasis on the “-se” and it made it sound like [name_f]Louisa[/name_f]. Common pronunciation: “loo-wheeze.” Her pronunciation: “low-ee-suh.” Not sure how to put this in words, but it wasn’t pronounced as if her name was [name_f]Louisa[/name_f], it’s just said in a way that sounds like it but is not. Inhale and say [name_u]Louise[/name_u] except exhale when you say the -se part. See how you were saying [name_u]Louise[/name_u] but it kinda sounded like [name_f]Louisa[/name_f]? That’s how she pronounces her name. I like this pronunciation just because it gives it a very slight, just barely there bit of freshness to this vintage name. [name_u]Louise[/name_u] is so classy and elegant and you can’t go wrong with it!

A good name, and I love nn [name_u]Lou[/name_u].

Elegant, feminine, and strong! I’ve met one [name_u]Louise[/name_u] and she was an academic and well-rounded girl - a medical student, head girl at her high school in her younger years, so she’s what comes to mind for me when I hear the name. There is also some lovely nickname potential for family - [name_u]Lou[/name_u], [name_f]Lulu[/name_f], etc, so that’s always a bonus. :smiling_face_with_three_hearts: :white_heart:

[name_u]Louise[/name_u] is classic, sweet and strong

I think it’s a pretty name. It’s familiar but not overly common.

I like it a lot, especially with the nickname [name_u]Lou[/name_u] I do slightly prefer [name_f]Louisa[/name_f], but [name_u]Louise[/name_u] is lovely as well.

I think it’s such a pretty name, and like everyone said [name_u]Lou[/name_u] is a great nn! I also really like [name_f]Louisa[/name_f].

I love this name as well, but not fan of the nicknames.

I LOVE Louise!!! [name_f]My[/name_f] daughter was mistakenly called [name_u]Louise[/name_u] at a store the other day (she has another L name) and I about melted right there! It made me wish I had a daughter with the lovely name

I love [name_u]Louise[/name_u]! One of my characters is named [name_u]Louise[/name_u] nickname [name_u]Lou[/name_u], and I have it on my list as a mn.

I think of it as a cool turn of the century/roaring twenties name.

Sweetly old-fashioned, soft-spoken and [name_u]French[/name_u]. (The [name_u]French[/name_u] origin doesn’t jump right out in neon flashing lights, but when you remember it’s there, I think it adds a chic tone.) I like it. It’s not my favorite name ever, but I’d still be very charmed to meet a little [name_u]Louise[/name_u].
