I’ve recently gotten a bit obsessed with Spider-man, and suddenly the names [name_m]Peter[/name_m] and [name_f]Mary[/name_f] [name_f]Jane[/name_f] (nn MJ) have become very appealing to me.
I was wondering what people’s opinions were on the name [name_f]Mary[/name_f] [name_f]Jane[/name_f] nn MJ.
I’m also thinking about it in a more UK perspective, where to the best of my knowledge it is not commonly used slang for marijuana. So if that’s your main feedback, I know, I’m thinking out it, but if you’ve got anything else to add that would be great!
We don’t use the pot reference either but I just don’t quite love [name_f]Mary[/name_f] [name_f]Jane[/name_f] or the MJ nn. I’d get on board if I knew a [name_f]Mary[/name_f] [name_f]Jane[/name_f] and I can almost see its appeal but right now I prefer other [name_f]Mary[/name_f] hyphen names or both names on own.
I like [name_f]Mary[/name_f] [name_f]Jane[/name_f]! I think they’re fairly overlooked names these days for sounding conventional, but when put together they sound very peppy and energetic to me. I think [name_f]May[/name_f] would be a cute way to shorten it, or even Mage.
I’m a [name_u]Brit[/name_u] and the weed reference is all I can think about. Saying that, [name_f]Mary[/name_f] [name_f]Jane[/name_f] is sweet, maybe a tad boring, but sweet, if you can overlook the weed reference.
I appreciate the Spider-[name_m]Man[/name_m] connection, as it’s one of my childhood favourites when it comes to films, however [name_f]Mary[/name_f]-[name_f]Jane[/name_f] feels very plain to me.
