We’ve chosen to name our little girl [name]Millie[/name] in honor of my grandmother [name]Mildred[/name], and for the sake of turning an old-fashioned name a little more modern, we really like it. However, we’re tossing around several middle name choices and would like your opinions:
My favorite is [name]Millie[/name] [name]Madelyn[/name]. Like? Dislike?
Other suggestions we have been (semi) fond of have been:

ALSO- if it helps, our last name is a two-syllable last name. Considering that [name]Millie[/name] is also two syllable, I have leaned toward 3-syllable middle names… [name]Just[/name] putting that out there. I know it sometime helps to know more about the last name when deciding what does and doesn’t “sound right.” Thanks again!
Agree with svea, I like [name]Madeline[/name] much more. It used to be one of my favorites, always reminded me of that cute cartoon and the children’s books. Very sweet and even though I’m pretty sure it’s not french, it still gives me that image.
[name]Madelyn[/name] doesn’t do much for me. I much prefer the [name]Madeleine[/name] spelling. From your list I like [name]Millie[/name] [name]Abigail[/name] best.
I agree with the other berries - change of spelling for [name]Madelyn[/name] ([name]Madeleine[/name] or [name]Madeline[/name]) or [name]Millie[/name] [name]Abigail[/name]. I think [name]Grace[/name] is a bit abrupt and I’m not a fan of [name]Kathryn[/name] (though [name]Katherine[/name] or [name]Catherine[/name] could work). Good luck!

I like [name]Millie[/name] [name]Grace[/name] and [name]Millie[/name] [name]Kathryn[/name]. I’m not a fun of having the same initials, but that’s just a personal preference.
I love [name]Millie[/name]! I like it more as a nickname for something like [name]Millicent[/name], but [name]Millie[/name] on its own is quite pretty. I agree with all the previous posters who said they prefer the [name]Madeline[/name] spelling… also, have you considered [name]Adeline[/name]? I think [name]Millie[/name] [name]Adeline[/name] would be very sweet. Vintage, yet modern. Good luck!
